Thanks for your wonderful videos, they are beautifully produced and really capture the mood of slow travel, stopping to relax and take in the views. Sitting down here in Melbourne, in the middle of winter, I’m yearning to get out on the bike and just go travel again…who knows, a trip to Baja one day if I can ever get to the US 🙏

Husky looks to have a good headlight and be better suited to sand than the big BMW. I bet you were no longer chilly riding in that sand Eva, quite a workout I suspect. Lovely memories made again in this episode.😁

This isn't my kind of trip, but I've really enjoyed this series, Sterling. Great job [as always] pulling together the best stuff and showing the beauty as well as the difficult parts. My 701E and I battled a deer a couple weeks back and I now have a lot of time to watch other folks ride while bones heal, so the timing has been great!

You feel lucky for not living so far away from Baja. For us, living in Central México, Baja is just one day driving and one night on the ferry to hit La Paz. Somehow I still feel it is your backyard more than it is ours. Congrats, I rode all your miles along with you.

Excellent adventure Sterling. I appreciate the attitude of "missing the adventure" , when things get a bit sideways it's sometimes to easy to focus on the negative, but you've got the right idea for sure. Safe travels and thanks for taking the time to share them.

If you’re anywhere near Temecula, you guys should go to MotoVentures. After a day or two of training there, you won’t have any trouble with sand.

Questionable state of repair on that pier😕. It would be great to hear your perceptions on the 701 as a lightweight adventure bike.

Another great video. How are you liking the 701 LR for these types of trips ?...is it still in your stable ....I see later trips you are back on the GS. Are there rides where you would prefer a lighter bike than the 701 LR ?
@SterlingNoren Жыл бұрын
The 701 is great. I wouldn’t need anything lighter than that bike for a long trip.

Yes.. Less than a 21 inch front tire not very good making time in sand 😁
@juanl.burlew53703 ай бұрын
I would love to see a video of you SOLO or with a Compentant partner in Baja, where you could go at YOUR pace and cover more area instead of having to be so slow and not have to babysit another rider (Adam Reihman style!!!). That would hold more interest to me honestly, I am sure you could cover more territory and document more if you did it that way instead of having to have such a slow pace and assist more than doing a ride. Although nice documentation, moves along rather slow...
A great place to wake up has to do more with whom than where. A whale of a good time. 🙂 Could be worse, then it is worse.

I think a KTM890 non R version would be ok for putting big nobby tires on..32.7 inch seat height 460 lbs 👍 I don't think I would ever follow someone on a modified Husky ever.. I'm too short and I don't think anyone on an adventure bike can ever match a light dual sport off road 😂🤘
