Baja bug sand dune hill climb and offroading in rainbow basin ohv. VW Baja Bug having fun on a sand dune hill climb, steep Sandy hill climb located off copper city road, just outside barstow. We had a blast vw baja bug offroading and loved this sand dune!

So glad I got a lot of footage then because it has been all wet here the last couple days! So sad I can't drive my baja 😢 hoping for some sunny days coming up! And Spence and I actually talked about taking the dust buggy to the snow to see how that goes 😂

sure looks like the little tins that screw on to the cylinder tins are missing... Wont last long without them, they extend the cylinder tins so air flow goes all the way around the cylinders. I understand it's a baja but they still need them (not talking about pulley tin).

Awesome and glad you both had a blast! Good editing inside and outside cameras. Great hill climbing and later, awesome trail runner! Since the day I was born it was "SUPER BEETLE front ends can't handle off road"! Yet, here you are doin' it and having a blast! Your channel belongs on mythbusters lol So how is the front end holding up? Have either of you had a regular bug (baja'ed) to compare it to in the past? It's been cold, and the HD is always cold during winter! That wind will cut right thru ya! I'm 3rd Gen SoCal so all I know too is put on a hoodie when it's "cold" hahaha Good luck and keep having fun!

We've heard it all from dusty old trailheads that think supers are useless just because they got the "proper" setup right off the bat 😂 she's been great for us! She goes over most things pretty as you please, the only thing she is less capable on is large flexing zones and whoops (less travel overall). However, she will one day be waayyy more capable/comfortable over everything when we upgrade her cage and build our suspension from there. Gonna go 3x3 in the rear with a arms up front. We have never had a regular beetle baja! That would be exciting to ride in and see the difference 😁 we got to take a ride in a really done up beam setup baja and it was AMAZING 😉

@@dustbuggy Super cool! 3x3's is the way to go for sure! Bus and/or 930 CVs, whichever is in your budget, truly make a difference. Once you build the custom suspension, it pretty much won't matter Beetle or Super Beetle anymore. But, your little girl is kickin' ass! For messing around in her current dress (haha), she's doing awesome! Have you thought about putting on a pair of high heels (spindles)? Do they work on Supers as well? ON THE WHOOPS: Is there a breakable shaft on the r&p steering? Bugs pre-67 steering shaft is solid and an easy replacement. Anyway, good luck and wishing you great success! Thanks for answering the Questions regarding our cousin :)

Already got 930s and a bus trans 😉 had to for the 2332 😂 As far as I know you can't put spindles to make these higher, only drop spindles to lower it. As for the steering I'm not sure, never touched it so I really couldn't say.
