The mission you showed in Santa Rosalia was actually designed and pre-fabricated by Alexander Gustav Eiffel in France and was put on display at the Paris Worlds Exhibition in 1887 along with a pretty famous tower that Eiffel also designed. After the exhibition the church was taken down and put in storage where it sat for many years until it was purchased by the owner of the Boleo mining company in Santa Rosalia, shipped across the ocean and erected at its current location. Thanks for another great video..! Brought back many good memories...

You really captured the magnificent beauty of the Baja. So much history, beautiful scenery and amazing people. I flew into San Jose del Cabo in January. I rented a van and did some traveling around southern Baja. I can’t even begin to explain the kindness and amazing culture I experienced. I went to a few remote places where no minivan should be but the memories will stay with me a lifetime. Can’t wait for your journey to resume! Thanks for the great video!

Tim, I've been following you for about 6 months. Mega great info I've used. I retire 31 Jul this year and I've been planning an Alaska trip for about a year...leaving out of Mexico (we have a home in Puerto Penasco, AKA Rocky Point) on 1 Aug. But since this whole COVID thing blew up, I've been holed up in Rocky Point for the last 2 and half months...but my bike is in Arizona! Ugh. So really cool to see this video on the Baja ride....I might be altering my plans if the Canadian border doesn't open up! La Paz is a really great place!

Oh my goodness! Not sure how I missed this video! I pride myself on being among the first fifty or so viewers :-) Outstanding video!!! Looks like a dream:-) I have been to Baja but would be thrilled to go back via momo. I’ve done a tiny bit of research & I don’t see a restriction on vehicles that aren’t paid off. I see that one must jump through more hoops but it looks possible. Did I misunderstand you, did you say that you “couldn’t” ride in Mexico because you don’t own your bike yet? Great video, really professional!!! Peace
@FTAAdventures4 жыл бұрын
For riding in mainland Mexico you need aa vehicle permit, they was to see proof of ownership or a letter from the lien holder giving you permission to take the bike into Mexico. My lien holder wasn't as confident as me about riding in Mexico so I have to wait to pay the bike off first.

Hola! I was hoping to see you camping there. I have a second home in San Felipe, I’m retired and an avid tent camper, I want to make a long camping trip all the way to Cabo. I camped at Gonzaga Bay and the winds kick my butt collapsing my tent at 3 AM, lol. Thus I was hoping to see some advice about those winds in a tent. I’m heading there in a few weeks, usually for several months and trying out the same spot but I got a different tent and different stakes, wish me luck hahaha. By the way there are some awesome camping spots on Guadalupe Canyon with water falls and petroglyphs to explore, there are lots of petroglyphs all around Baja, got a book with maps recommended by a friend. Next time bring your tent and explore some more, Baja is a gem in the rough. Thanks for the video, like they say in Baja, “no bad days”.
