I have lp9s on my jeep tj’s bumper as “fog lights” I wanted to swap out my squadron pros on the pillar for lp6 but I’m not sure if they will be to big I was going to upgrade the squadron pros to xl80 but then I was like I might as well get the lp4 since they’re about the same size then I was like if I’ma get the lp4 I might as well get the lp6

@TheAllAmericanDriver2 жыл бұрын
The LP6s are definitely big on the A pillar. I still like them though! It’s a big truck so for me it doesn’t look out of place and the SDHQ mounts are pretty solid. The LP4 would be a good option also.
@MBQ112 жыл бұрын
@@TheAllAmericanDriver I been choosing and canceling my order I have 2021 f150 so lp6’s won’t be a size problem but I don’t know if it will be solid at A Pilar or Nah

@@MBQ11 It's pretty solid. But they are big! During some terrain and bumps you can see them mildly flex a LITTLE side to side. If this would bother you, the go smaller.

@TheAllAmericanDriver3 жыл бұрын
@@SPAWNOFSATAN013 Honestly.. I think these might be too big for the A-pillar brackets without addition re-inforcement (which I am working on). They are so big they are not 100% solid up there. From time to time I can see them mildly moving back and forth. Unless you want to screw around with some more custom work, I would suggest a smaller light. Maybe the LP4's if you want the amber back light. Or get what everyone else has.. the XL80s.

@TheAllAmericanDriver3 жыл бұрын
They are much brighter than the stock headlights. Even the stock hi beams seem dim in comparison. After driving with them ON, when I turn them off, it is almost like driving in the dark. AKA... they are bright. :)

The average halogen headlight generates 700 lumens of light out put in low beam. The average high beam output is 1,200. A single Baja Designs LP6 produces 8,600 lumens of forward light. The side LED on an LP6 produces 1,700 lumens...to the sides (brighter than a car's halogen high beams). Now, multiply this times 2 for a pair of lights. AAD is correct, these are not usually used as Pod also known as Ditch Lights, because the side light can be blinding. Most people if they use Baja Designs use the 80XL models, which produce 9,500 lumens of forward light. I think it's amazing how Baja Designs, Rigid Industries and others provide such intense lighting for off-road applications.
