Slipper clutch is not what makes the clutch light. That's wrong. Slipper clutch is something that's helps when you are shifting down from high speed and prevents the back tyres from locking up. It's good to ride is traffic because of light clutch. Bajaj made the clutch light. Not because it's a slipper clutch. Light clutch and slipper clutch are 2 very different things
@SuperImbadude6 жыл бұрын
Aadil Sudhir slipper clutch also makes the clutch light. But the main function of the slipper clutch is what you mentioned. But at the same time slipper clutch requires lesser number of springs so as a side effect it requires lesser effort to pull the clutch.

Some still complaining about vibrations..I took a test drive of dominar 400 yesterday and i was blown by the refinement ! I rode my friends dominar 400 when he bought it when it was launched and those vibrations were just terrible..Now when i rode the 2018 dominar the engine was smooth as butter..no vibes at all...just like yamaha !..The salesman said it was the latest batch..My god i will buy it for the refinement and the way it feels like a big bike and stability as well as braking

Crisp clear points. Subbed. Been thinking of ditching my Hornet for a while and was looking out for the dominar. One question. The Hornet has a very very hard rear suspension and seems like it's like rock solid over bumps. Is the dominar more plush compared to the Hornet?

Personally i ride with my wife and i can tell you that after riding for 150 km straight you feel pain in your ass for rider and for pillion as well. Other than that no issue at all in this bike. I've clocked 10k in odo and still it looks next to new. Good luck and ride safe.

I am confused between Dominar and FZ 25. Which one should I buy? I will use it to commute to office and weekend trips. I don't want to race hard but I want a smooth and comfy ride with enough torque to go up the hills smoothly and good suspensions to go occasionally off the road.
@mahfoojkhan57076 жыл бұрын
abhijitkh09 i was in the same situation and finally choose fz25 and the simple reason was more city ride and awsome torque at low end and very good weight which is just 149 kg and if you ride sensibly, you will get 35-40 kmpl milage and if you go crazy with trottlle even though uou will get 28-32 kmpl and same goes for highway ride till 100 speed you will get mileage over 35 and i have rode my bike many times at continious speex of 105 to 122 and still got mileage of 29 kmpl which is awsome for 250 cc bike and blv me with 14 ltr tank it us more practical compare to dominar 400 and i know some ppl will argue about feature packed dominor but blv me at the end practicality matters and fz 25 is very practical bike for practicle ppl, i have done 11000 km with long 650 km ride and moatly city rides and blv me fz 25 is very good bike and light on pocket that what matters for long run. No doubt dominor is very good option for price vs features but again its heavy and for mstly city rides fz 25 is very easy to flick and low end punch and easy flickability make it more practical and that is the reason i have choose fz 25, no fancy faeatures but it means no worries of those features to get faulty easily and everything matters when you fill up your tank and still get more run to the cost and easy ride and there fz 25 shines and i forgot to tell you it has been awarded for india design mark award 2018 and that is the onne of the main reason i choose this bike bcoz of awsome naked looks and it looks bigger as cimpare to other naked bikea in this segment so choose what you need bcoz i would not say dominar is bad option because i was in ur shoes before but i have made the right decision becoz i needed a practical bike for mostly city rides with enough grunt to cut throgh the traffic and twice or thrice highway rides in a month and that it can do easily.
@abhijitkh096 жыл бұрын
Hi, Thanks for the detailed and well informed response. I am also going in favour of FZ25. However, two points are stopping me from finalizing it. 1. Bajaj finance is giving loan to buy Dominar on just 5.1% interest rate. Even FDs fetch higher interest rate. So here no need to make downpayment and invest the money making it effectively cheaper. 2.FZ25 lacks ABS which is a nice to have safety feature.
@mahfoojkhan57076 жыл бұрын
abhijitkh09 Good offering by bajaj but still choose what you need and i agree that ABS shud be der but i dont feel that i need it very badly bcoz i am riding bikes for 10 years so i know how to brake properly in most situation so it dosent bother me that much.

Fuel Injected Bro, so after riding 2018 Dominar, do you feel that it's still not as refined as Mojo? The infamous 4000-5000rpm vibrations of Dominar has it reduced? Also is the 2018 Dominar suspension changed, still stiff? I'm in a bit of a dilemma whether to get Mojo UT300 or Dominar. 400. Since I'm 6ft 1 inch, I like the comfortable riding position of Mojo. Though Dominar has performance and ABS in it's side, my priority is refinement and comfort for highway commuting/touring. Cheers!

For people cussing about vibrations, yeah they are there, they are even on RE (much worse). The way you can reduce those by doing some simple things: 1. Engine oil change (move to Motul 7100 20W50 fully synthetic). Chang A.S.A.P 2. Identify vibration hot spots. (could be a windshield etc) 3. Get some rubber visors and rubber strips. (fit them on joints and hotspots) These 3 changes will ensure you bike rides smooth and with much more less vibrations.

Dominor 400 with ABS costs 1.94 lakh in Bangalore. Bike is really awesome but paying this much for a bike with non metal body doesn't think value for money.... pls someone correct me if I am wrong..!!
@FuelInjected6 жыл бұрын
Metal should never be used on sports bike, if you have a crash plastic parts absorb the impact and get out of way, which on the other hand metal parts wont absorb that much impact and can also give you serious injuries
@shivashankar37826 жыл бұрын
Really..? Got to know bow
@SuperImbadude6 жыл бұрын
Body is metal, the perimeter frame which is the main part of the body is metal. Only the fuel tank and plastic covers for the body are fibre/plastic and they don't provide any structural support. All bikes are made out of metal. In Duke 390 the tank is also metal. There is nothing like a plastic bike, under the plastic cover/fairing everything from the engine, frame, triple clamps, suspension, swing arm to the alloy wheel everything is metal for any bikes. Royal Enfield bikes have only metal fuel tank and airfilter box cover as metal which even a sports bike like Duke 390(metal fuel tank for 2017 model) has. Also adding unnecessary metal, increases the weight and thereby reducing the performance and mileage. Dominar has abs,slipper clutch, high performance led lighting, good Engine performance, handling and braking all for less than 2l. Does your metal royal Enfield provide any of those?

Hey Guys Please Help me What to do. I have tvs victor 110cc (2014) and did 1,20,000 till now and still no engine issue and mileage in Bangalore traffic getting 55 to 58. Now I wanted to purchase the new bike but not able to leave the current on (Tvs victor) because it gives good mileage and 0% maintainance (i am doing 1 service in a year just to full fill my statisfaction). One strange thing I am noticing in TVS Victor, If I ride it at max 50 kmph (Slow acceleration peaceful ride) I am getting 49 KM/L, But when I ride it like crazy 60 to 70 sudden throttle etc.. then I am getting 55 to 58. I am speechless on this condition. Any view form you guys on this issue? What to do should I go to new bike? what is your suggestion. I have also confusion on which bike (Other than RE "I dont like RE at all" No speed, No performance, CAR maintainance. SORRY RE GUYS Dont feel bad but its true.) I havecouple of things in my mind (TVS RR 310, Dominar 400, TVS NTorq 125 "Scooty", Bajac Avenger full crome version, Aprilla 150 "Scooty",Yamaha FZ25). Now as per my condition 90% city ride and 10% highway which one would you guys suggest and Is there any others to consider (sorry No to RE,Activa,Jupitar,Yamaha Scooty,). OR Should i continue with tvs victor still in top notch condition (Thanks TVS for providing such a beast motorcycle. Still not able to leave it.)

Reading your comment, one thing is Clear that you will be riding in city traffic most of the time, and Banglore has a lot of traffic, so anything above 150cc will be a headache for you and also the bike should be comfortable, so you can continue with your Victor or go for apache 160, it will be a good option

I am 5.5 and 50kg, can I handle the dominar?
@FuelInjected6 жыл бұрын
Take a test ride
@syedqaiserabbas73196 жыл бұрын
Nope i don't think Dominar is gonna be comfortable for you because my cousin owns a 2018 Dominar and i have ridden it and im 16 and my height is 5.7 and weight is 58 kg and honestly i didn't feel fully confident while riding that bike because of the weight of the bike which is 182 kg and that's a lot of weight and i myself don't think i would be comfortable riding that bike on a daily basis so u say ur 5.5 and 50kg so it's gonna be very difficult and dangerous for u to ride that bike on a daily basis becauese u won't be able to handle that bike's weight so there's a high chance that u might drop it so u should consider othet bikes like RTR 200,NS200 or the FZ25
