I just made this recipe for Sunday brunch with a couple of additions. I added a small amount of onion and mushrooms to the eggs. Came out perfectly! I've never had baked eggs before. Thank you for the video.

Dear Ms. Manley: your You Tube essay on baked or shirred eggs was done very nicely. Your production was great, you were well-spoken and likeable and you spoke at an easy to follow pace. My mother who is 91 and my sister wanted to know about shirred eggs and we found your video informative and understandable. I like to use You Tube for how to information of all sorts and your work is head and shoulders above others.

Stephanie, I hope you start doing 'taste tests' on your recipes - I was drooling to see you poke the egg with the toast. Thanks for all of your videos! And I love the website!

I will keep that in mind! Thanks!

I agree. I was wanting to see how runny or how firm the eggs were when baked for that amount of time, too!
@Irishwoods110 жыл бұрын
Have my fingers crossed for "taste tests" too. Especially when it comes to eggs since I'm super picky when it comes to the egg white being completely firm! Great recipe though and it looked wonderful!

Linda Maloly ME TOO! If the egg white is not totally set I'd gag on it.

2 eggs seasoned w/salt&pepper bake at 325 for 10-12 min on 1tsp melted butter
@kjohn03476 жыл бұрын
Huh? The butter melted in a dish, in a 325 oven so do you think the dish is already heated or do you melt the butter in the microwave and put it in a cold dish and plop the eggs on top? I think you know the answer now give yourself a good smack for trying to steal someone else's thunder...whack!

This is super easy, thank you for posting it. I looked up this recipe because I saw a Harvey House menu at a train museum and I was curious to see how it was made. Thanks again!

You can also scramble the eggs for picky eaters and/or add cooked ham, cheese and/or herbs de Provence. Chives and shallots work great too

So, you put "toast" in your toaster rather than put "bread" in your toaster to be toasted? That's kind of like when ppl take something out of the freezer to "unthaw". Bahaha. I am just teasing and mean no ILL intent. :) Sorry, had surgery and am quite bored.
@truethought25812 жыл бұрын
You put toast, in your toaster? Seems redundant. Just funnin ya. Love shirred eggs.

These eggs came from my Mom's chickens. She has a variety of different breeds of chickens, I think there are even some eggs with a blue tint as well.
