It might just be that the Broncos have a really good defense and a better team than people think. They lost two games by 1 possession to 2 teams that are 3-0 and who also have really good defenses. Their defense is only allowing about 15 points a game. Sometimes, you just have to give credit where credit is due.

We still have a good team but they didn't take the Bronco's seriously and came out flat and never recovered. That's disappointing for a team with Super Bowl aspirations. Baker still managed to complete 79% of his passes Sunday, which is amazing considering the duress he was under. You have to ask yourself why the Bucs would stick Skule right back out there after what happened last week, and expect the results to be different? Open the wallet and sign some depth already. If the Bucs want to be considered Superbowl contenders then they should start acting like it. Use some of that cap space. Make a trade. Get a real Edge rusher. Something. Anything!

I think personally Mayfield is a good guy but I didn't really like the fact what he said about a NFL legend Tom Brady. If you rely on Baker to lead the team in every offensive category, the Bucs will have a long season. I went back and watched the game, and nobody was open. He didn't have time to throw because the defense knew they couldn't run the ball. They are peeling their ears back, bullrushing the QB. Resigned all these guys back and didn’t fix the root problems. Their interior o-line is not good. Graham Barton is a good football player, but the other two will be out of a job following this season. So will the backup right tackle. Their second problem is their pass rush, and yes, I know they’re banged up, but they do not have a guy that gets after the quarterback. You can’t play soft coverage all game and not have anyone disrupting the QB. They were poorly coached on defense this week. Denver has subpar receivers, and the Buc's secondary was playing 10 yards off every other play. No wonder Sean Peyton is 7-0 against Bowles. That offense thrives off the RPO game and running the football. Bronco's secondary is the real deal. Their offense needs to play possession football and not turn the ball over.

Right now 4 wide even 11 personnel is too much to ask from the O-Line right now. Might have to consider more jet screen plays; middle screens; Barton is super athletic so that's something. But yeah, this game was a game where the urgency wasn't there as it was last game. Silver lining is the Saints lost. This is the NFL. There is a salary cap and it OWNS the day of the week that Jesus used to own. There is no "bad team." The VERY worst NFL team is still a multi-billion dollar media empire and there are no bad players. Ponder this. Byrce Young was good enough to lead the BEST college team to championships and yet cannot lead the Panthers to victory. The Crimson Tide or Bulldogs may look good but less than 1/10th of those players will go on to play in the NFL. The Broncos are not great but the difference between the Super Bowl winner and the team that goes 2-14 is a hair. What separates the Lions in 2022 from the Lions in 2020 is a few field goals, some special plays, and a bit of luck. Baker, the Buccs defense, and the Buccs o-line had a bad game. Mahomes has bad games, Brady had bad games, Manning had horrid games. Such is life in the NFL
