Good to see 72 stock going strong some 50 years later be suprised if they last until the end of the decade though as they becoming very expensive to maintain

Aren't 73s becoming unreliable aswell ? Hopefully some magic funding comes from somewhere and the NtFL gets a order added on otherwise 5 years from now won't be looking good

If you think about it, Paris recently retired their MP 59 trains which served Line 11 from 1963-2022. That’s nearly 60 years of passenger service! I think TFL can do the same with the 72 stock! As well as that, TFL can transfer some 73 stocks for the Lewisham extension, as well as possibly extending the line to Watford Junction to eliminate the need for LO, therefore simplifying operations on the Watford DC line.
