Hi chechi, i tried the plum cake adding fresh orange zest and excluding the dates. Turned out super delicious. Other plum cakes from rum soaked nuts and fruits seem to be too overwhelming for my taste buds. This version is a super hit and my little one was overjoyed at the divine smell. He didn't let me wait until it cooled down even. And the next day it was heavenly taste. You made our Christmas extra special. ❤️ Thank you and Merry Christmas. Please do add recipes for kids friendly cookies recipes (without maida, BS or BP, or refined sugar)🙏🏽

Chechi i had soaked dry fruits for last christmas and made many cakes. It was all good. The remaining fruits were then kept for future usage in the same container itself (bharani). Today I opened it for making some cakes and when i tasted it, it was sour. Appearance wise it was looking good, it looked brown in colour (no fungus).Smell was also good. But the taste was sour. So i din use it. Can you plz tell me whether it’s safe to use? Or is it spoiled? I had used wine to soak it last year. It was opened only once during last xmas.. What to do? plz reply.
