Thank you for your recipe. Was searching for easy recipe for plum cake. Saw many recipes but felt complicated. Yours felt easier. Tried your recipe with a small twist as we baked the cake for our baby. Made the cake with half quantities (but with 2 eggs and more powdered sugar, instead of nutmeg powder used nutmeg skin(mace, jathipathri), with wheat flour. Added carrots as well. The cake was absolutely delicious and exactly like store bought. Your video made it happen, so thank you so much.

Just a few suggestions, when the time comes to add water; add boiling water instead of room temperature water to avoid sugar thickening. Also adding some lemon juice to the caramelized sugar will prevent crystalization. Coat your fruits and nuts with a spoon of flour before mixing to the batter to ensure that they don't sink to the bottom.
