Plenty of snow on this one and it looked fantastic what you sat down for a brew, absolutely amazing views. A nice guide on the way up and the way down and a sledge down would have been fantastic, cheers Alan

What scenery Dave! absolutely stunning. Kudos to you for getting up there in those conditions and the fact you actually managed to get to the start on the iced up roads. Fabulous video. You are one determined hiker 😊

Cracking walk that Dave. Wasn't it worth missing it on the Skiddaw walk just to experience a day like that. although you happen didn't think so flogging up that fence line. I did it myself years ago in similar conditions and it's flaming hard work. Worth it though. Look forward to the next one.

Fence helped alot.. when I checked Google earth it looked like the actual path just went up by the fence anyway.. great fun day so hardly noticed the effort. Cheers lad 🙂

I did exactly the same. Missed the stop, carried on over a cattle grid and thought this isn't right. Did a fifty point turn, back over cattle grid then I found it. I did the famous five that day. Need to be back to do this one, Great Cockup, Meal Fell and Little Calva

i was barely able to turn my car around.. once i came to a stop there was so much ice the care wouldn't reverse cos lack of grip.. forced it thankfully with a bit of jiggling haha..

Eh up Marra. Where did all that snow come from. I see you got down before the bad weather came in. We were up Clough Head and the Dodds yesterday. The morning was amazing, the afternoon, brutal. Total whiteout. And like you had the snow was deep man. Great adventure though mate, another one ticked off. All the best, Dave 😀⛰🥾🥶

mountain forcast said 'light snow' all week and when it was peeing down friday night i thought it must be all washed away.. yea unexpected.. The dodds is a bit of a dull walk so snow will have enhanced that nicely for yas. Tek care lad :)

Great view and video. We were meant to do Holme Fell early December but couldnt see the path in 18 inches of snow so sacked it off. We missed the path coming off Bakestall after Skiddaw and went off piste down to the flat. Should have stuck to your fence.
@daveostlemountainman9 ай бұрын
Yea i was a little concerned i couldn't see a path but have watched many other videos of folk just creating their own.. knew if i stuck to the fence id be fine.. Holme fell is tricky coming down at best of times, many big crags.. ya did the right thing skipping that one i think.. Cheers for watching :)
