No, The Bakhterians and the Lurs are originally Persian tribes from Tajikestan. They're more related to Persians than to Kurds or anything... Even their language is a Persian-dialect consisting mostly of Middle Persian (PAhlavi) words.

I am Lur and I love this and all peoples of Iran. I want to know how many Lurs living in Iran. If you search on the Internet some say 2% 6% 8% of Iranians are Lur. Only my tribe is from 300.000 to 2,5 million people how can Iranian Lurs only be 2% it must be wrong :)

its really sad to see Iranians fight with each other because of slight accent differences, this is what britian did, they divided us all so that we are not strong and united, just like how they told afghans they are different race, and separated us from them. i am a lor from borojerd and i am proud of it. although us lors dont consider ourselves KORD we still think of them as brothers. and they do too. but as always there is always some ignorant people who have been fooled to think otherwise.

When cyrus the great defeated the median empire, he did not conquer a new state, but just united his people and the different tribes. Kords, Lors, azeris, etc they all have the same traditions, foods, beliefs, accents, looks. but propaganda has poisoned their brains to think they are different because of slight difference in accents due to their location. its really a shame, that people dont wake up and understand.

Iranians have always referred to their homeland as IRAN as evident in epic masterwork Shahnameh. However, IRAN has been referred to as Persia by non-Iranians since the ancient times. This is evident in non-Iranian text including the bible. Persian simply means Iranian! All Iranians are Persian by definition! Ethnicity has nothing to do with it!

They are originally kurdish. most of them are assimilated thanks to persian and irans policy. That still make them kurdish wether they or you believe it or not. the traditions, the cluture, the language all are kurdish. if they or you don't want them kurdish fine but end of time they were kurdish and are kurdish originally.
