Biscuit Oliva is inspired by the golden era bodybuilder Sergio Oliva, with his moniker of "unchained" coming from a movie called "el poder negro" (literally translated: "black power") which Sergio starred in. The feat of Oliva tanking a shotgun to his abdomen was inspired by Sergio Oliva having survived being shot in his abdomen by his girlfriend, as his abdominal muscles were too thick to be penetrated by the bullet.
