I just want to tell you one thing. Final kamehamehais a combination of final flash and kamehameha and is used by vegito but the one we saw on the movie that gogeta made is called full force kamehameha so yeah it's gogetas own kamehameha (in GT he used big bang kamehameha which is a combination of vegetas big bang attack and gokus kamehameha)

I've thought of it as... the super saiyan transformation comes from a primal nature which is why anger is the best trigger. Broly embodies anger so I believe that he unlocked an stronger version of super saiyan that was locked deep within at the root of what a super saiyan is... Rage incarnate. I think when vegetas hair turned green for a split second it signified him coming to an understanding of the primal thinking it takes to enter super saiyan as well as goku understanding too with the green aura.

To explain which fusion is better: In terms of the METHOD as such, the dance limits the stronger of the two to be at the same strength of the weaker one because they need to match the same power level when they fuse, whereas the earrings don’t have that issue. However, these days, Goku and Vegeta are equal in strength, so whichever method they use, the actual resulting fusion will still be the same in levels of strength.

I don't know why do people think the fusion's power is solely based on the power level they were outputting during the dance. Let's imagine Goten and Trunks dance-fused. As we know as needed, one of them is stronger and should lower his power to match the other's power level to allow the fusion to work. (As told by Goku) But what if both of them could lower their power level to both match what a scouter reads as "10" ? (Merely twice the average untrained adult human which is ridiculously low) Is Gotenks going to be a fusion of two people with a power of ten and won't be able to tap into more than that ? (Sounds a bit ridiculous if you ask me) Or would he then be able to tap into each fusees' full power because now the fusion is complete he has no need to hold his power back ? I think people take for granted how fusion dance works and misunderstand stuff because it's easy to do so. To me, equality of Ki during the dance doesn't define the quality of the result, but if there is a result or not. (Goku and Piccolo danced to show it to the kids, yet they didn't fuse. The only obvious reason to that is because their power didn't match at that time.) It would be just a way to keep this whole "mirroring" process working. Both parties are perfectly symmetrical as they dance together, so should be their Ki to make it work. And maybe not to make it work better. That makes potaras not more powerful, only more convenient. (Which is huge already, considering twice the fusion duration) Just my idea about it.

Whatever toriyama has done is only an adaptation of bardock, bardock maybe a character design by Akira toriyama but the plot was built by toei animation. And then in the namek saga, Akira toriyama adapted bardock in a single panel before the showdown between goku and frieza. and then 16 years later after dragonball was completed, included dragonball GT. Akira toriyama wrote Jaco the galactic patrolman manga, and within the manga Akira toriyama wrote a bonus Chapter dragon ball minus, and wrote his own variation of bardock, Which by the way had low sales and underperformed in selling copies! that contradicts Akira toriyama original manga.

58:47 The potara earrings are supposed to be a "perfect fusion," which I guess makes the fusion dance imperfect. I think old kai even says that the earrings are superior to the dance. I suppose Vegito is stronger than Gogeta, assuming they're at the same super saiyan state i.e. ss4 Gogeta is obviously stronger than normal Vegito. Akira Toriyama stated that Vegito is the strongest person in the manga (GT and movies are not in the manga). If you count GT and movies than if both guys are in the same SS state they would be even. It has not been seen but Vegito could go SSJ2, SSJ3, and SSJ4. He only needed the SSJ power to beat Buu. From the old kai we know that Vegito can last forever and Gogeta can only stay for 30 minutes. As long as Gogeta gets breaks it would be a tie. Yes they're the same lvl but the amount of time spent in the fusion is different. Old Kai said this was dangerous as the amount of power used decreases ones life in a potara fusion so if they were both at ss4 the only difference would be appearance, moves, and personality are different, vegito takes after vegeta while gogeta takes after Goku. The fact power takes away life means Vegito would die if he fought Gogeta for long period of time, if the fusion dance upgraded. 1:10:17 Lol not even close

I think Vegito might be stronger, here's why, let me assume two things ,first that if Buuhan was x times stronger than SSJ3 Goku(Z), then Omega too was x times stronger than SSJ4 Goku(GT), (I actually think Buuhan enjoyed even more of a lead, if people agree with that, that makes my argument stronger.), and second that fusion multiplier stays constant over al power levels. Now, what the above means is that if the two fusions were equally strong and SSJ4 Gogeta was y times stronger than Omega ( x*y times stronger than SSJ4 Goku), than Vegeto would need to be SSJ3 to be y times stronger than Buuhan, however what actually happened was that Omega survived a full serious Big-Bang KameHameHa from Gogeta, whereas I seriously doubt that Buu would have survived a serious attack from even SSJ Vegeto, let alone SSJ3 Vegeto, thus we can conclude that SSJ3 Vegeto would actually be a lot more stronger than the y times he would have been if the fusions were equal, the argument consists of a lot of assumptions so it could be wrong in details, but it seems fine to me overall.

When they fuse with the earrings, they don't have to match each other's power levels as they do with with the dance. Vegito is stronger, with no debate. Elder kai himself stated that the potara provide much more power than the fusion dance. According to gogeta it's their power lvls added together plus a significant increase. I've always believed that vegito was their power lvls multiplied by each others which would be far greater than addition plus a significant boost.

@NeelDesai Might be a little Late, But the Potara earrings gives a bigger boost but was also permanent (it was later retconned) and was the kai's last resort when faced with an enemy greater than themselves, i dont actually remember where the fusion dance came from, but it gives a slightly lesser boost but has a 30 minute timer that can decrease depending on the energy output ( no idea if the last part is still canon, but vs omega shenron the fusion was cut down to around 5-10 minutes because they were in SSJ4 state when they fused and the transformation caused a strain on the fusion)

Explaining fusion, if you haven’t gotten the answer yet: Fusion dance, you must both have the same power level and do the dance perfectly to fuse. Your power and your partner’s power will be added, then multiplied many times over. With the Potara earrings, both fuse, but it multiplies the power of both people without worrying about the same power level. Technically, they’re very similar, but if one person is stronger than the other in power level, the higher power level must go down and match the lower one in power to use the fusion dance. Since Potara earrings just multiply the two peoples powers without worrying about same levels of power, it is technically stronger than using the fusion dance.

In canon, goku is actually the legendary super saiyan. Non canon Z broly had a form called legendary super saiyan, but its not canon. The form super broly used in this movie is (for some reason) called super saiyan full power

The green haired full power version was added by Toei. Toriyama had him with just regular ssj hair. The green hair is just to differentiate Broly's form from regular super saiyan. Lore wise the legendary super saiyan isn't a form but a mutation that gives the saiyan a sort of zenkai boost on steroids effect. Unlike normal saiyans who become stronger after taking life threatening damage, legendary super saiyans get stronger both from near death damage and just combat in general which is why Broly is able to break through so many power barriers and reach Blue level from around Namek level in mere minutes. Goku is the super saiyan of legend as in he is the form from legend but he is not THE legendary super saiyan which is a mutation that occurs roughly every 1000-3000 years depending on the translation.

Explanation about the differences of fusion and potara earrings: When performing the fusion dance then the both guys must make it identically to each other or else it will be a failed fusion. so for the power then when you use the metamoran fusion dance then Both users must have almost the same powerlevel and height. If one of the users power level is higher than the others then the one with the higher power level must lower their power level so it matches the others and then their powers get's combined and multiplied. For the earrings then the first guy just wears the earring in the right ear and the other one on the left ear and the power gets combined and multiplied. Since one of the users must lower their power level in the metamoran fusion dance then the fusion dance's effect is lower than the earrings. The time limit for the fusion dance is 30 minutes while the time limit for the earrings is 1 hour but if the fusion of the earrings uses too much power then the time limit gets lower for example 1 hour to 40 minutes or lower while for the metamoran fusion dance then the fusion can use full power without having any effect on the time limit.

Using the earrings potara fusion was said to be more of a perfect fusion that is permanent. With recent information we learned it is not permanent when mortals use it. The fusion dance also results in the fusion wearing the same clothes with the white pants. Many believed that the Goku and Vegeta being fused with the earrings was stronger, but 50% believed the same about the fusion dance. Recently it is confirmed that regardless they are both equal in strength, so there is no difference, except whoever’s name is first in the fusion usually is more in control of the personality. That is why Vegito sounds more like Vegeta and uses more of his techniques, while Gogeta acts more like Goku and fights more like him too. 👍

Yep. They are equal. Potaras are easier to use, since you can't fail the fusion, you just have to clip them on, but on the flipside you need to have them and give the other to the partner, if the Potara gets intercepted by the enemy or you don't have any to begin with, you're fucked. Meanwhile the Dance can be pulled off anytime, but at the risk of a failed fusion if you don't pull it off perfectly. The methods have their pros and cons, but the resulting fusions are equal.

Yeah, but against Zamasu Vegito put out so much energy that it lasted way shorter, so there's no real difference. Gogeta has the advantage that you can do the dance anytime, without needing anything extra, but the disadvantage that the fusion will fail if you don't do the dance perfectly. Vegito has the advantage that the fusion can't fail, but the disadvantage that you need to have potaras in your posession and if you don't have them, you can't fuse.

Man I wish a future series would have Goku and Vegeta wanting to bring back all the saiyans killed by Frieza using the Dragon Balls. For multiple reasons like knowing there Sayian DNA would be gone after a couple more generations so to stop that bring back as many pure blooded ones as possible. Next would to gain access to more of the universes top warrior races ever especially when hardcore training is involved. In this show we would see prince Vegeta take on his dad for the throne in order to take control and turn the race into something like the universe 6 versions are a force for good. Using the DB a special designed new home world having a ton of training buildings to simulate many different things and gravity levels. Large farm land area for Koran to grow Senzu beans for the future supply having a couple stored in the new amazing Sayian armor designed by CC. Then With Vegeta now king the lead trainer for the Sayian version of Special Forces for sayians where Goku teaches like 50 sayians how to reach the OG SS 1-2-3 needing to master them before the top 25 out of 50 move on to trying to reach SSG

So, the potato fusion is actually equally strong as the fusion dance. But the fusion dance lasts only for 30 minutes while the potato fusion if used by mortals, lasts for 1 hour. If at least one god is involved in the potato fusion than the fusion time is infinite. That was explained by the elder Kaioshin from another universe in the Goku black arc. But Dragon Ball Daima confuses things again. Here they say the fusion with potara earrings is infinite but that the gasses inside Buu's stomache would counter the effect and split up the fused person. Which is how kibito shin turned back into Shin and Kibito. Which kinda negated everything from the beginning from Dragon Ball Super. There they split up by using the namekian Dragonballs and the Z-Fighters only found out after skin told them at a later time. But in Daima they find out by shin much sooner at a party at bulmas place

The earrings and the dance produce two different types of fusions. The fusion of Goku and Vegeta with the earrings is called Vegito. Either way, fusions are considered to be brand new beings rather than just a merging of two consciousnesses. It's a new person with traits from the two people who fused. Vegito is considered to be a lot more powerful than Gogeta, which makes sense given that you need a special item for it rather than just knowing a dance. I still like Gogeta more tho I think he's more interesting.

If you're wondering why Goku was keeping up in base and Super Saiyan right after Vegeta just got pushed in God it's because Broly seems to be unconsciously lowering his power based on the enemy he's fighting. He powers up incredibly quickly based on how difficult an enemy is, but once a new one who is much weaker comes in he relaxes and only really starts powering up again as they put up a fight. Why Frieza was likely to last so long despite being weaker than either Goku or Vegeta even in his Gold form. Broly beats him down, he keeps trying to get back up but weakens as the fight goes on. Though him powering up hit a pretty hard limit. He pushes into a form and was still able to be hurt by a Super Saiyan Gogeta, and once Gogeta goes Blue (he doesn't even really try all that hard) Broly isn't able to do anything. Even once he has that last push where he draws out as much power as possible he still gets blitzed. Edit: we don't know if the dance or earrings or stronger. The only thing we do know is you have to match your power level with the other to get in sync to merge, but the power of your body doesn't just vanish (people always seemed to think Trunks lost power when he was fusing with Goten). Only real difference(s) are the method to do it and time.

Personality If you payed attention to their debutes such as in the Buu Saga or Fusion Reborn, you notice the two fusions both have different personalities. Vegito's personality is likely to be dominated by Vegeta, with Vegito carrying Vegeta's cockiness and toying with his opponent, arrogant even. Gogeta is also quite similar and seems to be dominated more by Goku, with him being a little cocky and but yet having a bit of Goku’s personality traits.
