TIPS FOR BAKING IN AIR FRYER
1)Reduce the suggested temperature for oven baking recipes by 25-50 F e.g. If you bake a cake in oven at 350 degrees, then reduce temp to 300 for baking in air fryer.
2) Always preheat air fryer before using.
3) Reduce the baking time by 20%. Due to compact size of air fryer, food can be baked in less time.
4)Check for doneness throughout the cooking time. You can open air fryer to check for doneness and to ensure evenly cooking.
5)Do downsize the recipe of regular size baked goods to fit in an air fryer.
6) For baking cakes in air fryer, prefer to use dense batter recipes. As the surface of such batter can come to close contact with heating element of air fryer, they will get slightly brown crisp tops. (Thin batter cakes can be messy to bake in air fryer and cannot be baked evenly in air fryer.)

You can use any ovenproof dish or mold in the Airfryer, whether it is made of glass, ceramic, metal or silicone. The baking tin should still leave some space on either side when you place it in the basket to ensure the airflow can pass around it.

To avoid crispyness on bread surface, can I cover it with alumunium foil first and then open it halfway just to give the bread some color?

You can cover the food with aluminum foil as long as it doesn't block the circulation of hot air & there is no contact with heating element. But instead of covering the dough in initial phase I would suggest to keep an eye and when bread gets required color, reduce the temp & cover the bread (not basket) with aluminum foil till fully baked.
