Please...this is YOUR CHANNEL!! You can talk about whatever you want! That's the beauty of it. And you are right...maybe this is not the channel for some!! You and Charles do an amazing job! Don't let Negative Nancy's rule your Roost!!

Your channel, your content! You will never, ever be able to please everyone. Also, to touch upon new holiday changes-I struggle with Christmas and how it’s become so commercialized. I just want to spend time, and a great meal, with friends & family and not focus on gifts. We all get so much throughout the year. As far as the farm stand, be very careful and check all facets of Ohio laws surrounding selling homemade goods. I watch another YTuber that had hers shut down in another state. I buy homemade sourdough from my niece and I pay her $10 for the large loaf. It’s worth it to me! She’s an amazing baker!

So much I want to say! First off, your channel is in my tops of channels I look forward to! I absolutely love your realness & honesty! I love how your family loves each other! Plus I love when you show your messes & talk about things that didn't work out like you were hoping, because I run into that often. I'll be 49 this month, and I've been the cook of the family since I was 10 due to my Mom going back to work. And let me tell ya, even with all of those years & graduating culinary school plus my Masters focused in nutrition, I make messes left & right. I, also, have recipes that will unexpectedly not turn out well lol. I want to say I'm so sorry about the bonus! This year has been nothing but full of surprises. I don't have an income coming in due to my health, and it has been a struggle the last few years to make ends meet. Right now, we get 95% of our food from a local food bank in our small town. It's the best one I've ever seen, though. We gets a ton of produce from our local farmers plus things like deer & elk, along with a lot of treats for the kids. I post what we get each week, and then I show everything I made that week from our free groceries. I'm trying to normalize food pantries, because even with my education & my husband being an electrician, we struggle beyond what I ever thought we would. In fact, just 10 years ago we had a beautiful 2,400 sq ft home, and were able to buy what we needed off of him making only $17 an hour. No other income. My family of 5 was fine. Now he makes a lot more, and because of my 2 cancers, lupus, RA, and type 1 we are barely able to rent an affordable home, after being homeless for 3 years. So I truly love that you talk candidly about these things. There's not been a single topic I haven't loved in your videos! Your attitude about faith & your love for family feels very kindred! Oh, and on the gochugaru (Korean smoked red pepper flakes) they do come in mild, hot, and extra hot. Some aren't labeled easily to see that info. Most, if they don't say hot, will be the mild like you have. I use the mild, too, because it's more of a medium hot comparatively to cayenne & red pepper flakes. You may have already known that, but I wasn't sure. One time, in the first year of my marriage 18 years ago I accidentally bought extra hot 😂 My husband is half Korean, and even for him that was way too hot. If he hadn't said that the type his family used wasn't that hot, I would've been too scared to try another type. As always, thank you & thank Charles, for how much you do to teach everyone such valuable info! ❤

Forgive my typos. I saw a couple in there, like "gets" instead of get😂 my phone constantly corrects what I type, and it's always wrong lol.

What I would do on pricing is figure out your cost for the ingredients & packaging, then multiply that by 4. That's the method for restaurants. With home chefs not buying the bulk pricing from restaurant supply sources, it can also be fine to just multiply it by 3. I see most people sell muffins, if they're smaller/regular for $2-3 each. Or loaves of sweet breads for minimum $10. I'd buy a loaf of white bread for $5, but that's due to my limited income.

@@beckagore5312you sound like an amazing person! I’m sorry to hear of your struggles but your attitude is so uplifting. Truly, it is! Not to be nosy, but with receiving elk, what part of the US are you in? I’ve heard it’s amazing but it’s not the norm for Ohio😂.
@beckagore53122 сағат бұрын
@ohiofarmgirl3384 thank you so much! I can't tell you how much I needed that kindness!!! 💖 I'm in Oklahoma, and we have a lot of hunters here that also go to the surrounding states. We have more deer here, but they share the elk they bring back. It's by far, my favorite of game meat. I hope you have an amazing weekend! And thank you again! I had 2 family members pass this week, and I've been trying so hard to stay as positive as possible so to hear that is beautiful! It takes a beautiful soul to be kind like you have!

You are so right about what Christmas really is about. You have a good attitude about it Noel! I like the old-fashioned way of things. I think most people buy WAY TOO much stuff for their families(usually charging it even if they don't have lots of money). I know it is their right to do that but to me Christmas is about faith, being with family, making memories, some baking, games, walk in snow if you get snow, driving to see the lights etc. If you can't afford a tree, you can get a couple small branches and stick colored gum drops on it. (saw that in some magazine years ago), or you can have kids make a chain out of colored paper and hang it around the house etc. I see that most kids have so much stuff nowadays, that they don't even appreciate what they get. So let's try to make it as special as we can with what we have.

Muffins look delicious and I love to make pineapple upside down cake , so yummy. 🧁🥮🧁I use the pineapple juice and top off with milk if I don’t have enough and I put half slices of pineapple around the sides of the cake . I flip mine onto a cookie sheet while it’s warm . Love it ! It’s not about the things it’s about family and you guys are so blessed to have family . Thank you for sharing! 🙏

When my husband gets his profit sharing, we never count on it. If we get it we put it away for something or use it as a cushion because profit sharing and bonuses are not guaranteed. Maybe going forward just don’t count on it and if you get it that’s great, if not, no loss. I’m not trying to belittle your disappointment but this is our take on it. It’s amazing how we can do without things we really don’t need when we have to eliminate them. The T shirts are a great idea.
@l.j.2043Сағат бұрын
Your farm stand idea is great. I think you should add up the costs of ingredients you use for one loaf and then add a nice profit amount to it. People would buy it I believe cause home made fresh bread and baked goods are so much better than store bought.

Hi Noel! Ask Charles to make a playlist with ALL of your videos in it. The let us know when that's done. Even though I've seen every video I can run your playlist on a separate tab and mute it to boost your KZbin revenue. I'll just keep running it. Explain it to your subs and I bet we can make up for the lost bonus 🥰Ginger🥰

I’m sorry about the bonus situation. I know what it’s like to count on something like that and then have it fall through. Things like that always cause me a lot of anxiety. After the shock wears off I end up thinking just like you. I know God has me in the palm of his hand and I’m going to be okay regardless of the circumstances. I will be keeping you all in my prayers. Take care of yourself ❤

4or 5 dollars for bread and similar for rolls. My local Mennonite stores charge about that much and more for pies or canned goods

Don't apologize about what you do at home I believe if people where hungry they would kill there meat also and your diet is going great some people are jealous do it slowly like you like my family killed there on food pigs, chicken, beef, fish, rabbit, so you go girl.

I don’t think it us jealousy. Who would be jealous of that? Some people are just animal lovers and it bothers them.
@rflcakepops32 минут бұрын
We don’t have a KZbin channel but we have had people stop at our house to yell at us because they didn’t like seeing us butcher as they drove by. We’re disgusting people blah blah. How dare we kill an animal. Go buy meat at the grocery store like normal people. Mind you we live in the country. It just happens that our road is the fastest way to get to the beach. Memorial Day to Labor Day we have to deal with jerks.

We don't celebrate in December, because LORD JESUS birth was never in december....it's a pagan winter solace tradition that we want not part of!! People just do all these things out of man's traditions! If people don't like butchering and things they just need to keep on moving! It's just a part of life. At least your animals are loved and cared for waaay better then any store meat purchase. LORD JESUS is KING of kings and LORD of lords!
