Preserving its beauty and past, Baku, as a modern European city, has won awards for architecture, business centers and skyscrapers.
Baku, the country's largest cultural center, is the city where the first curtain in the Muslim East was opened, the first opera was staged, the first Azerbaijani newspaper was published and the first Azerbaijani library was opened. The most beautiful and unique architectural style of the city belongs to museums, theaters and libraries.
Baku is also known for its unique Oil Rocks in the world. Oil Rocks, located in the center of the Caspian Sea, is the oldest and most populous coastal oil city in the world. This area includes ancient oil fields, famous oil rocks, rare deep-sea basins, modern well drilling mechanisms.
