When Bakugo said "Izuku, Can I catch up to you?" it wasnt in terms of power. It was in term of heroism. In that moment Bakugo finally fully understand how Deku felt having to fight and analyzing the fight while in pain and while having to save people. At that time, while All Might is his favourite hero, Deku is the person what he aspire to be.

Watching episode for the first time I thought that the wound was self-inflicted to sync up closer with how Deku was destroying himself with his quirk at the beginning. I was so shocked while thinking that his heart exploded, but instead it was poked by the fingerman.

This episode was full of sadness and it was too hard not to get emotional. Deku is about to cry again and I'm not ready for that. I just don't think he'll go crazy like the first battle because it wasn't uraraka, but despite everything Bakugou is still his childhood friend so obviously he'll be mad and try to get revenge. Seeing his corpse was really something. I think his voice actor did an amazing job here. The fact that he saw all might vestige makes it even emocional. His arc was very well concluded.

agreed! Bakugo's voice actor absolutely crushed it. I was nervous about how studio bones would be able to adapt the emotional charge from the manga but they absolutely knocked it out of the park. I don't think I've been so moved by an episode since all might v afo at kamino.

I just read the manga because of all the spoilers for season 4 when it was coming out. it fucking sucked. But i can say its nice reading the manga and then seeing how its animated when the chapters come out as episodes.
