In the last reaction you mixed up oxidation and reduction, bromine is getting oxidised as it lost 6 electrons. OIL RIG - Oxidation Is Loss, Reduction Is Gain. Also, instead of cross multiplying , you basically just have to take LCM like you do for fractions.
