I have finally put my physical TBR into a spreadsheet so I can start balancing *my* books. Thanks for the inspiration!

"Snake ring makes me feel evil" I love that, and support those vibes. I have a leaf ring and it makes me feel like a forest fairy most of the time 😝 The skeleton key cover is gorgeous. And I want to read the school for good mothers at some point. Loved hearing more of your in depth thoughts on everything is fine I'm so excited to get to it now!!

I’ve heard that that SÁ scene is still in the movie and a lot of people were very triggered by it! So be careful when you do watch it 💕

Yes, it was in the movie. It was multiple guys too, I believe? The eating disorder was in it as well.

It's so interesting to me to reread books, especially when I LOVED them the first time around. I think that where we are in our lives, both broadly and on the day/week we read a book, really determines our reading experience. And that it can drastically change depending on those things. Wild!

I really loved Wrong Place, Wrong Time - it was my first book by the author and I can't wait to check more of them out. Listened to the audiobook and just ended up going for wee wanders up random streets because I didn't want to go back! Early Morning Riser is now on my tbr now I guess, have another couple of weeks of Kindle Unlimited free trial and it's on that 🥳

🌟 PSA 🌟 - early morning riser and standard deviation appear to be free atm on Amazon with a prime membership (for kindle, in Australia at least). I have downloaded both. I have to own books if I love them so will definitely convert to a physical copy if it goes that way (and I hope it does) ♥

I really enjoyed Wrong Place Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister, started reading it a day before Halloween so the timing was perfect. We're discussing it at my book club this evening so I'm curious what others have made of it. I agree that the big time jumps were unexpected. And my jaw did drop in a few places too!

I read Early Morning Riser in October and loved it. I read Standard Deviation in 2019? It was brilliant 🤩 I could see both being adapted into films. 🍀👋☘️📖📕📚☕️

I have a rule when I walk into a bookstore, one series continuation, one novel book that’s been on my list for ages, and one book I’ve never heard of😂

I’ve gotten a lot of very interesting reads that way but it doesn’t keep my books balanced very well! As always I enjoy your content!

I enjoyed Sunset but, like you, I didn't love it. I definitely want to read Wrong Place, Wrong Time and The School for Good Mothers. I love time travel books and dystopians ☺

I would recommend Disorientation by Elaine Hseih Chou - its so hard to describe and no synopsis does it justice but it explores such interesting themes in a really interesting satirical way. I think you would love it! Or at least have a lot of thoughts about it.

Love your videos Emma. I absolutely hated the Farm! It started so well but then jumped the shark. I’m interested in the school for mothers but it’s getting mixed reviews. X

I love the sound of the podcast book, have you read AGood Girl’s Guide to Murder? It’s a older YA book with a similar storyline.

Have you read The Borrowers by Rebecca Makkai? I just read it this month and was so charmed and in love. I know you like books about the power of books and it definitely checks that box! I'm excited for her new true crime work.

A book series about a true crime with a podcast/media element is the Truly Devious series! It’s sooo good. I know you don’t typically like series but it absolutely flies by. I could not put it down
