You are the first person to actually offer helpful advice for the whole “hair area” thing! Every time I talk to a stylist about my head being “flat”, or that I need more layers because my hair doesn’t get enough volume, they just look at me like I’m crazy! Maybe you could do a video on haircuts that work better for the different hair areas?

Oh. My. Gosh. I thought I was the only woman in the world with the flat top! I thought I was the only one who could ever cut or dye my own hair, bc every hairdresser, I’ve ever been to, ever acknowledges me when I tell them I need layers for VOLUME! Bc the top of my head is flat AND the crown! They act like I’m from another planet and they don’t understand my language lol! I’ve lived with my head my WHOLE life, I know what my head needs to make it look good! 😩😂 Now I know I’m NOT from another planet and I actually know what I’ve been talking about for the last 25 years!! 😂😂 Thank you!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I was super confused too I wasn't sure if I was Dramatic or Flamboyant Natural. What helped me was not to focus on the kibbe test, but to stand in front of the mirror and look at my body. Look at your bones, especially shoulders made things more clear for me, are they sharp, softer, wide? Just look at yourself, the test only confuse most people.

Hi Aly. You really are so clever. I never thought for once about the head shape at all. I have a small face and for most of my life i wore a pixie cut. However, its a bit difficult now for a number of reasons for me to wear a pixie. I think that I have an oval shape but many say its long and small. I dont know. Im just confused. I dont have balayage but I am grey with a bit of ash. Ive been struggling as to what style will suit my face. Im growing out my hair to a short bob. I wear a side part at times, and sometimes a middle part, but I guess its not so flattering as a pixie. I have wavy, frizzy hair which I sometime wear curly or blow dryed. So, as i stumbled upon this video, it opened my eyes a bit. I always watch your videos. Thank you for all you time and effort and especially the knowledge you share with the world. Alyona, you are an amazing woman who has great common sense. I usually stay on your music channel. And, I only use Instagram to keep tabs on my daughters and see if anything new is coming up on your music channel. The other day, I was browsing your Instagram channel and found one picture where the caption was that you wanted help with work visa to come to the US. In the comments section there were people making the nastiest comments about you. I couldn't believe it. Why would anyone make these filthy, rude comments? Then I finally realized it was one of you best videos that I used to show my daughters. They love your Aly Art channel and I enjoy it also despite being a man. You are very sensible and have some great words of wisdom to share. I hope you are working on your visa and come to the east coast where there is much opportunity to work in the music business. The cost of living is cheaper in the south. The idiots complaining actually made you take the video down? The world is going crazy when you make a video that tries to guide young people in the right direction and because of political correctness you were bullied by a handful of haters into taking it down. You know the video I'm talking about. If you want to make a video about how to NOT look like a slutty porn star, it's your channel. You should be able to put what you want on it. In reality porn actors take off their makeup when they are not working and dress and act like any other person I'm sure. I'm don't think they want to go around from when they wake up until the go to sleep with gobs of makeup on. You should not let other people dictate what to put on your channel. The flavor of Aly Art is about common sense. I wish that video was still up. I would have some choice words defending you against those bullies. You have many more people that love you than the few haters. And if they say don't come to my country, they can go to hell. We could use more talented people here. We take in so many useless immigrants. You have many skills to offer. From your styling skills, to your singing skills to your music production skills and more. Please forget the disgusting bullies and come to the east coast. We will welcome you here more than California, the land of fruits and nuts. Lots of Love, from North Carolina...
@sKELLYtonBONES5 жыл бұрын
The videos still up actually! Just under a different title. "How to look classy". And @nastassia im pretty sure it had nothing to do with her being white, and just those people having a problem with alys video. I don't know if anyone's told you, but black and brown people attract trolls too. And haters. But their trolls usually hurl slurs as well. Unless we're talking about undertones, please don't make this about race.

Aly, You are just incredible! Your knowledge and ability to communicate that knowledge is impressive. This video truly demonstrates what I mean. Well done!!
@jackiejoe56665 жыл бұрын
I think you're confusing balayage with ombre (as far as your definition @ 0:19). "Balayage is all about how the color is applied. The word Balayage originates from the French term “to sweep.” With Balayage, not necessarily all the ends will be affected and the transition between dark and light will be much longer and more natural looking. Ombre is a haircolor technique where all the ends are going be affected and the transition from the deeper roots and light ends is going to be pretty short. The definition for Ombre is the French word for "color that is shaded or graduated in tone"." Source: Redken So balayage is basically a type of painting on natural looking highlights and ombre is lightening the hair with the lightest being at the bottom and darkest at the top. Edit: I see you define it perfectly in your Balayage At Home video though wonder why you changed it here
