Enjoy the species we have blooming on our balcony! There are a few orchid hybrids and a few hoyas tossed in there too--We just couldn't leave these beauties out 💚

You can probably set your watch by the time it rains daily up there. Stay safe and dry. We get our overnight and early morning showers daily down here in WPB, FL. Thank you for the bloom update.

Shouldn’t that C. corrupta be an Lc currupta? I’m still learning but if it is a cross between the two genera, should it still be a Cattleya?

The nothogenus would be LC if the other parent were actually a Laelia but Kew now defines Laelia praestans as Cattleya praestans. Many growers put the parentage with the old name because that's what's recognizable to most customers. To be botanically correct the parentage should also be up to date but sometimes what's botanically correct and what's prudent differ.
