That is really extraordinary footage. I'm not an expert but I do know that Bald Eagles conduct a mating ritual (I have observed this) where they fly in circular pattern upwards until they gain enough altitude and then they clench talons and pinwheel towards the earth. I watched this happen in front of my house in Anacortes. I was in the house alone studying in silence when I kept hearing a racket. I ignored it at first but my curiosity got the better of me so I finally I walked out the front door and saw them plunging towards the ground. I was sure they were going to hit but at about tree top level they pulled apart and barely avoided hitting the ground. At the time I thought that they were fighting but I was told by an wildlife expert that its a mating ritual. This is not copulation, they usually do that in a tree. You can see pinwheeling footage on KZbin. It's an amazing sight. I'd love to see it again and again and again.

What is a white supremacist? A black supremacist? Who's lives matter? Fake lives matter most. If you look at what's happening out there these days. The official MSM version of whatever, becomes de facto truth by repetition, not because it's actually true. True history has been completely subverted and upended. Fake leaders, fake news, fake issues, fake causes and fake history rule this age. Bring on the next. The 2 headed eagle or Phoenix has risen many times through the ages. You know what it rises from. It's the Herald of change. You can feel it in the air now. If you can't, it will peel you like a pear when it arrives.

Was this shot on Vancouver island? Mom lives there. Her neighbors down on the beach, cut down their 120 foot eagle tree a few years ago. She was sad about that. Still spots eagles now and then tho. Usually on a rock, gutting a fish. Good times.

With all the turmoil in Our Republic, given that these are a mating pair of national symbols, so very close to a national holiday of the founding of our Republic, I will take it as a good omen to having a peaceful resolution to Our quandary. I sat here for a few minutes wondering whether to post the above comment or erase it. This is such a beautiful moment. My intention is not politicize an occurrence of nature. Yet, without political intervention, these [and other] magnificent creatures would most likely be extinct. The fundamental operating consciousness of the universe is constantly speaking to us, answering our questions, showing us signs. All we need to do is be still enough to hear, have eyes open to see, heart enough to understand, and the mind to accept the wisdom we are offered. I asked for a sign from the universe concerning the nature of the unrest upon us. This video was the answer. My understanding is to have the wisdom to observe, in awe, an act of nature that is rarely seen: and ever so more rarely ever documented. Furthermore, to do so with out action. Just watch it unfold in its natural course to its natural conclusion.

That was not a mating or embracing or anything of the kind, it was a fight between either two adult Males or two adult females, more likely males, that most likely were in a talon locked spiral fall and fortunately fell on the bed of grass that saved their lives, most times they will unlock talons in the fall, but will occasionally hit the ground surface still locked together, and will continue the battle on the ground until one of the other let go of the lock it has on the other, it most likely was a territorial battle over a female, the nest and the territory, they will lash at each other with their wings until they can break apart and fly off if uninjured. some times these don't turn out well, I have captured these fights and have one on KZbin really worth seeing. They were not displaying trust in the photographer at all, they have no choice but to stay there until they unlock their Talons, who won the battle ? depends on which Eagle continued to maintain the Female as its mate and the nest and territory. trust me this was a fight that could have ended in the death of one of them or serious injury. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGiXq5KJeLqJpZI

Never approach locked eagles! It could injure them severely! They are not mating! They have locked talons! Part of their courtship!
@charlesanderson10752 жыл бұрын
Could have been a courtship but I don't think so because they were slashing at each other with their wings, I've videoed this before between two male adult Bald Eagles and it was a territorial fight over the female of the nest and the territory.
