I was born in Minsk, lived there until I was 12, and this is bringing me wayy back. Some of their beer is delicious for real. I remember drinking like 3 bottles of Baltika No. 7 when I was a kid, and hanging out by the Stella at the Komsomolskii Park. I lived right across from it. I really hope that the Belarussian citizens see through all of Lukashenko's BS and protect themselves. Just today I heard that my friend's mother is in a hospital in Minsk suffering from CoVID-19. The virus is only percentages more virulent than the flu. People getting coronavirus doesn't = the virus is as dangerous as... everyone thought? What kind of logic is that? People are getting the virus so the virus must be as bad as we thought it was????/ The virus isn't a threat. 350-400 people have it in belarus according to april stats, and they probably are already over the sickness. 350 out of millions. Imagine thinking that millions of jobs should be lost over statistics like that. The virus isn't a threat anymore. It was when we thought it would overrun all hospitals with bodies, but that turned out to be false. You're like an ostrich with your head in the sand still thinking outdated thoughts.

@Northern dancer well I haven't lived my whole life in England but tbf the weather is generally shit. You rarely get to see the sun and it's always raining and if it's not raining it's cloudy and dark as fuck. I guess people from different countries have a different definition of what good weather means. Being from a place where the sun is always shining doesn't help I guess :) Edit: Luckily we have been getting some warm days lately
@mmc17304 жыл бұрын
@Northern dancer While you are there in England maybe you can take advantage of the lockdown time and learn how to spell the words and form sentences the way the rest of England does. 😄
@RhysOwens864 жыл бұрын
I lived in the UK all my life, in Wales, and the weather is dog shit! I’d say 70% of the year is either rain/wind/cold/dark/cloudy. And the other 30% is not so bad, around June/July/August time, obviously as it’s summer time. And this is pretty much the same every year, hell we even have snow in April on few occasions! So UK weather is not too great at all really, make the most of summer time because then it’s back to the norm 🙄

When the Berlin Wall fell, I was working on a Russian fishing boat in the Bering Sea (as a US fisheries agent). When that happened, even the commissar that was assigned to protect the Russians from my Western influence joined the group asking me to leave them my jeans and skin mags when I left. I made many friends there and your videos remind me of them. Thanks. (more stories to follow)

I think I might´ve commented one some your videos, but after watching the last video you did before being kicked out Russia, I decided to grab some good beer and join you on your trip through Belarus drinking beer that I wish I could try, but since I´m living in Germany I thought this might be just a "drink some beer while Bald is having a good time in local soviet shop" but bloody hell was I wrong. The thing I love so much about your videos is, when you are watching on a big enough screen, I have the feeling that I´m there with you. There are thousands of vloggers out there in the world, but you my friend have some kind of style that transports me to the places that you´ve explored. That is the reason why I wanna thank you for the glorious adventures that you´ve taken through the former soviet union. I not only learned I heck of a lot about russian culture, but I feel I have experienced these places myself. I don´t think you will ever read this Bald, but thank you for your videos, they have been the greatest vlog videos on KZbin for me, have a good one!
