Damnos was my favorite campaign because the Necrons throughly kick the Ultramarines collective asses while being led by Cato, who no doubt learn much from his defeat from the Necrons and learn to be more of a great leader.

Did you ever hear of a franchise called Crysis? If not spoilers but in the second game the alien invasion takes another step and there's a character in the game who speaks to your character and says something to the effect of: "The owners are back! Waking the systems, firing up the boiler. Back to spring-clean the old family residence, and not much liking what they've found festering behind the fridge. Can you blame them, really?" I feel like this exemplifies the Necrons well. 😂

The fact that the Emperor, during the Great Crusade, allowed people to settle on Necron Tomb Worlds would strongly suggest that the Emperor was either unaware of the Necrons or at the very least was unable to sense whether a world as a Necron Tomb World or not. Given that the Necrons have no connection to the warp, it makes sense that no amount of psychic powers would allow a psyker, no matter how powerful, to detect Necrons slumbering deep below a planet's surface.

The grimdark is getting a bit too much. The strory setting needs a change by the mechanicum getting a full STC. It's really their God. I gave up on the Horus heresy during the Pharos beacon because nothing was ever going to change. Gulliman isn't enough. Cawl needs to push things forward technologically. I here the Fandom exhaustively exclaim Smurfmarines this, Asartes Sue that. Matt Ward is the 5th Chaos God, yadda yadda. Like it's cool to hate them, because the mob says so. When I hear Baldamort talk about them, it's full of respect, and honor. So, I spent sometime this afternoon looking into this chapter. I think They got it wrong and Baldy has it right. This is a chapter of boy scouts, that gets plenty of press coverage.... The harshest criticism of them always seems to Circle back to the Author Matt Ward. And as much of a cheerleader as He is- could He apply any ink to parchment without a full review and approval from GW? And GW is going to have it's favorites. It's favorites being the ones that sell the most figures and books. So, I'd have to ask why are Ultramarines so popular in sales if there is so much trash talked? Or is it just cool to talk trash for trash talk sake? I seriously can't find validation to this Trend in the Fandom. The Lore videos out there don't square this circle. The sell alot and get slot of trash talk? Or has the Fandom became a Parody, of the Satire that 40k was started out as? A self fulfilling prophecy? Hmm, very strange afternoon I've had today. But well worth it to look into and walk away with even more questions
