I went from full head of hair, short hair, trying to cover up my balding hair. Stressing, depression, minoxidil, finesteride, wearing hats 24/7. Finesteride and minoxidil causing crazy sides to spending £400 on a wig, wearing it for 2 weeks, having nightmare situations where it would start to peel off in the middle of city centres and then going home early with my kids because I was too embarrassed. Shaking furry synthetic shit into the strands of hair that were still clinging onto to what was left of my self confidence, they're evident, people can tell, and if you live in the uk(where it rains 300 days a year) they'll just wash out while you're doing your weekly shop, leaving you looking like you've been working in a coal mine all morning. Then I shaved it off. And guess what? All that negative emotion, gone. Don't spend your precious time on this planet worrying about the lack of active follicles on your bonce. It could always be worse. And when something worse happens to come knocking at your door you'll wish you enjoyed your time more effectively.

I almost feel it’s better for balding men to wait until their hair is on its last thread to fully understand balding is the better option. Shaving it too early might make you miss the hair more. Let yourself get to that state to fully appreciate being bald and understand the only way is up from there!

Yeah, man. I totally agree with this point. If someone catches on to their receding hair around a Norwood 2 or earlier they have a clear shot of keeping the hair for another decade with a healthy diet, minoxidil, and maybe fin. With finasteride, you get to keep it for more than that. The ideal thing for is people to see it beforehand and act on it and not wait for it to get worse.

@@Schlimaazl Sides are true but avoidable with proper care. Take me, for example, I got full ED after 3 months of use but it pointed me to my real problem which fastens up my hair fall and all problems. My Testestore level was at the real low spectrum, and using finasteride it probably kicked by DHT to 0 thus ED. Also, my vitamin D was really low too. People stop functioning properly that low. Got blood test. Now working on fixing the above problems and then trying finasteride again. My suggestion checks out More plates more dates on youtube and his finasteride videos. You won't regret it.

No one persons biology is the same, this is the issue. Vlogs peddling fin, minox and other various treatments without actually mentioning that the mode of action isn't actually understood for these types of medicines. The issue with fin and minox also is that its nowhere near 100% effective and when you come off them there's a serious disregulation of your bodies natural hormone levels. Your doctor can't even tell you if you're 100% safe. And it's made even worse that you can get some of these medicines over the counter 🤷‍♂️

I tried Minoxidil for 6 months straight. Twice a day, even when I took my daughter to Disneyland for her Birthday never missed an application . Hoping that it would thicken my hair up. Didn't do anything for me. When Covid closed the barbers I started watching this channel and decided to shave it off for good. Even if Minoxidil worked I don't like the idea of putting a chemical into my body that's purpose is to lower testosterone. It's been around for 40 years or so but lead paint and asbestos were around far longer before side effects took them off the market. I absolutely love it. My hair has always been unmanageable, prematurely grey, time consuming and thin in places. Shaving it solved all these problems. No beard for me though, I'm going the Silver Surfer sleek look.

That's weird... I've been using minoxidil since I first noticed that my hair was a little weak. It worked really well for me and its easy to maintain it like a habit. It's cheap, it does NOT lower testosterone and you can keep your hair. A common mistake that I see is when people wait too much to do something for their hair, and minoxidil, for exemple, doesnt do anything for people who already lost a bunch of hair. Nowadays going bald is just an option, you can keep your hair taking minimun care of it (but you need to start as soon as possible).

Jogo na Bandeja I don't think it worked for me because my hair is thinner and has been since my early 20s. It really hasn't lost any coverage so my situation isn't that typical but I'm glad it's working for you man.

@@justinlarsen2281 If you didn't lose the follicle (even if you hair is really thin) you can reverse that! If you look good bald I think you shouldn't worry about keeping you hair (which is not my case, when I shaved I looked like an egg ahah), but if you don't, I think you could consider going back to your treatment! In 6 months you don't see much progress, after 1 year using it you can clealy see the difference. The only bad thing is that you need to do this for the rest of your life, or at least until you don't care about hair anymore. But remember, it's like brushing your teeth before you go to sleep... If you did something for 6 months straight you can do anything man... I don't want to try to change your mind about it, but I think is good for you to know that since you have the "seed", you hair can come back. Even if you shaved you head you can keep the treatment, so you can have the option become "hairy" again if you want!

I shaved my head as I have a diffuse baldness and I don't like it at all. I have a huge bump on my skull, which makes my skull completely deformed and that's the truth. The shaved head doesn't fit everyone, that's the truth. It is not by shaving one's head that one assumes one's baldness but rather by leaving one's baldness and fine hair.

I took finasteride when i was 19 years old, 3 years ago, and in about 2 months using it, i could really see that my sperm count was getting lower and lower, and my libido got destroyed, i quitted it immediately, and it took about 3 or 4 months to return to normal. It was scary as hell, i can remember as if it was yesterday. It was just a prevention at that time, wasn't even going bald. Today, 3 years later, my hair is starting to get thinner in certain points of my head, started minoxidil kirkland 23 days ago, not shedding yet, actually, my hair's not falling at all, not even one hair, i guess there are periods of time that it starts falling, specially when it's long. I hope it works, not going to quit, at least for one year (If i don't get any results) . But i can see little hairs coming, let's see! Oh, i shaved my head a couple of times, i do not fear going bald, i just want to keep it until i'm 30 at least, but finasteride, i won't go on that path again, ever. Obs: don't mind the english errors, i'm brazilian!!

Don't worry about the appearance of more hairs coming out when it's longer. You probably aren't losing more hair, but are just noticing it because the strands are more visible due to the length.

What he said is very true, I can relate it to my life because I am a musician too, and image is a very important factor to consider. It is common to use videos or photos of us to promote our songs, but when you start to appreciate your music for how you look and not for how you play it is very sad. In my personal case I do not have noticeable hair loss yet, I have told some people about that insecurity such as my girlfriend or some friends and they say that they do not notice any difference, however, I know that eventually my moment will come, but this channel along with all the experiences of men with alopecia have given me the courage to face this problem. Should of jumped on finasteride and minoxidil early stages. I’m seeing mind blowing results after a strict regime for 8 weeks. Literally takes minutes out of my day. I was seconds away to taking all my hair off 8 weeks ago as I was buzzed down to a 2 guard & I nearly gave in to baldness. I’m now ony own experiment and seeing superb results.
