Investing in stocks can be a wise decision, especially if you have a dependable trading system that can lead to successful outcomes. Personally, I've been working with a financial advisor for about a year now. Starting with less than $200K and I'm now just $19,000 away from making half a million in profit.

I used to think it was just about buying stocks, but I didn’t realize there are strategies for managing risk and actually making a profit. Now I feel kinda stuck since I’m not seeing any gains in my portfolio. Do you have any recommendations on what I should consider? I’d really appreciate it!
@tanyabischoff23 күн бұрын
It's not just about having money to invest in stocks; it's about knowing the right strategies for profit and managing risk. That's why working with an investment advisor is important-they have insights not available to everyone.

I totally agree with you. I started out investing on my own too and lost quite a bit. After the 2020 crash, I managed to pull out about $160k. I then invested that money with an analyst, and in just seven months, I made almost $580,000. It's amazing how having the right guidance can turn things around!

I was holding 600 shares of NVDA since last earnings and i finally got out today with small profit now out, I’m exploring ETFs as a more stable option for building long-term wealth. What are the top 5 ETFs you'd suggest for someone starting with a lump sum ?
@borisVladimir224 күн бұрын
In no order: 1) VOO 2) QQQM 3) SCHG/VUG 4) VTI 5) SCHD/DGRO. Personally I put down 1.2m$ on few ETFs, still diversifying. it was this time last year I made my first break through with a liquid 470k. Handed it to a trader(CFP) here in Horsham, I get weekly pay out which I put back on long term ETF's. Tesla will be a huge buy for me when the market bottoms.

I've added SOXQ, VGT, QQQ, SPLD, and VOO to my portfolio, which Susan also helps me manage. Even someone like Robert Kiyosaki relies on an advisor no one can know it all! Having a trusted guide has always been a smart move for me.

JEPQ is my favorite so far. I've been trading it for about a year. It pays monthly with over a 9% yield. It all also has stayed fairly level. The down side is that it was incepted in 2022 which means there is not a lot of history. I also like FEPI and SPYT. An ETF with more risk and payout is QDTE. It pays weekly but is higher risk because it just came out this year. The fund is based on covered calls which make money in any market, up or down. I have about 5% of my portfolio in it. It currently is has over a 40% yield but fluctuate.
@borisVladimir223 күн бұрын
I’ve noticed that QDTE has a high yield due to its covered call strategy, but given the limited history, how are you evaluating its risk-adjusted returns compared to more established funds like SCHD or DGRO?

This analysis is very superficial, of course. The value some investors are seeing in Torm is NAV of their fleet, being worth way more than market cap 😉 cyclicals aren't all created equal

Absolutely! Wealth is made in bear markets. We aren’t in a bear market, but nibbling heavy red days has proven to be fruitful for me over 9 years of investing. I am at $2.25 mil. Biggest positions PLTR, TSLA, SCHD, NVDA, and now looking to build up DRGO alongside finding quality value/growth stocks to buy like TORM. I got $48k divs last year in taxable divs. Q2 taxable divs this year was $17,388 this year. Don't sell when the market is down. Having a skilled Financial counsellor that puts the time in to do in-depth research can be valuable in strategizing your portfolio.

Actually, your statement related to dividend policy is misleading. Looking in cash flow report for 2023, it's clear that they get into debt for paying dividends. FCF in 2023 was almost $300 mio and the dividends paid were like $586 mio. Despite the fact that I admire Mr. Howard Marks, I don't really get what he sees at TRMD at this moment, apart of the significant dividend yield.

I have several worm bins. I feed my powdered egg shells directly to the worms that make the best compost you can get… even better because it’s essentially free. The worms distribute the eggshell throughout the compost and make the calcium more available. Worms are an easy to care for livestock that require little maintenance, zero food cost for resourceful owners and produce amazing results. I highly recommend adding them to your garden routine!
