At a P/E of 5.63, the free cash flow yield is 29%! I didn’t but this for growth. It’s undervalued and cash-rich! And, it’s paid its dividend for 7 years…even under Lula!

PBR will always look cheap due to its industry and political risk. But the political risk discount is always too high (at least since 2016), and with the dividend it's great for investors! There's volatility but for those that can handle the swings PBR is a rewarding investment.

What political risk from 2016?
@international_dividend13 күн бұрын
@@ConeDaRagusa Brazilian government controls the company, Lulu is a populist, Brazil always swings....Even last year Lulu fired the CEO and replaced him with a part hack, delayed the special dividend, etc. There's constant volatility with Petrobras, never a smooth ride.

May I say this - to work out the true return you need to work out with assumption all dividends re-invested on the day received. It will result in a higher return
@johnbutner257013 күн бұрын
You cannot expect these companies will always pay their advertised dividends. I have known many who don't pay. I hold Vale and AllianceBernstein as my main dividend paying stocks. I also hold BUFC and HYFI who are operated by AB and are high-yield dividend holdings. I am testing these to see if they pay their advertised dividend over a year's time. I am down big on Vale (-24%), currently, but I plan to hold. I prefer a raw material excavator to a fossil fuel explorer since fossil fuel is under political attack. I hope you care to research these two companies: Vale and AB. Thanks.
@dwaynesmith7539 күн бұрын
I'm in the same position as you with Vale. The dividend schedule was 3 months back in 2023 but pared back to 6 months last year. I'm planning to hold on to it through this dip because the resource market is cyclical and the dividend returns are decent.

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.

I’ve been forced to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second daughter. Do you think I should take a break for a while from the market and focus on other things or return whenever I have free time or is it a continuous process? Thanks...

Quitting may not be the best approach if you ask me personally . This is where an AI comes into the picture. I barely have time to trade myself as my job swallows up most of my time. The problem for big investors is that there is super low liquidity for compenies like Petrobras or Ecopetrol. The individual investor actually has a leg up because of their less need for liquidity. Pretty great and cheap stocks.

I missed Covid as I was going through some personal things but I’m on watch now like a hawk just waiting for this old/new government to mess things up again. Makes the rate of return much more attractive at that point with the dividends

How much was it cut?

@HermannTheGreat 9% i think. but it's not reliable could still be 20%. dividend from this company is erratic. jumps high and down quickly based on politics, as thry issue special dividends or cut normal ones. hence the price discount.

These "big dividend payers" often do not pay dividends like they should. I sold off Toyota because I didn't receive the correct dividend in over a year. What was supposed to be be around a 3% dividend was actually a .3% dividend. I haven't gotten my 13% dividend from Vale, also. So if you invest in these "big dividend payers" you better watch them like a hawk because they often are liars.
