The "old" lady with the accent and the bald strong guy who was a statue for a while are characters who were in the series since Baldur's Gate 1 in the 90s. So you can imagine the hype old fans had when they were revealed to be in this game, too.

Bards are: Singer, Dancers, Poets, speakers, scribes etc… other studied professions within those lines. In D&D they are seen as support but they are mages and sword fighters depending on what College allows.
