This makes me wonder if your own character is the first person he’s ever fed on...there’s another video of him before he bites you where cheats were used to “detect thoughts” and it’s revealed that his master only let him feed on rats or other vermin.

Yes. The character he bites is his first. There is a dialogue with him that confirms this. It should come with later updates.

I want to help him free himself from his master, I want him to see that he can be so much more without that looming over him, how he doesnt have to be afraid to be who or whatever he wants. His character is just. So well written and he feels so real.

I understand why Larian locks this out from EA and I think it’s the right move. They don’t want to spoil the good bits and save it for the final release. And man it is good! I never played the origins characters in Divinity games but I just might in this one. Great video but you could maybe put a spoiler tag of some sort in the thumbnail. People never read descriptions and a lot of them will click on it thinking this is a part of basic early access. Some might get angry for being spoiled.

@@baguettelol221 It’s up to you . I personally don’t mind minor spoilers, that’s why I play EA version as well but many people don’t even realize this isn’t the final game. Something to consider is also Larian. They are one of the very, very few dev studios that are genuinely just good to gamers. Not trying to rip us off like other companies do, so if they want it to be locked for EA it’s a bit of a slap in the face to show it off to everyone. When they said mod friendly I think they meant after the release. You didn’t create the mod you’re just showcasing it so you may as well show the rest but it probably would be smart to point out in the title that this comes from a mod. Like “ modded Astarion dream” or something like that.

There won't be any problems. The mod only brings to light what already exists in the game files. Also, they would contact you and/or the mod author directly if they wanted such content removed.

Извините, вклинюсь. Мне думается что выкладывать такие видео не очень этично и просто неуважительно к Ларианам. Если бы они хотели, чтобы игроки увидели этот контент, то моды бы для этого не требовались. Я понимаю, что всем не терпится узнать, что же будет дальше, но из уважения к труду разработчиков я бы на вашем месте удалила это видео. Сама работаю концепт художником на игровом проекте и могу представить, как такие вещи расстроили бы команду.

@@natalie3653 я ждал от разрабов какого-нибудь обращения, мол, "имейте совесть" и тэдэ, но никаких записей в Стиме или где-то ещё я не нашла. Плюс, датамайнинг идёт полным ходом и я не единственная выкладываю видюшки с контентом вне ЕА. Так что теперь, когда прошло время и не было никакой отрицательной реакции от авторов, я считаю, что пусть видео стоит на месте, покуда ребята не выскажут свое недовольство. I feel so bad for Astarion. I don't think he's evil, his alignment seems to fit more with chaotic neutral when you consider everything. He doesn't disapprove when you help people like Shadowheart and LZ do (who are evil aligned.)

So, considering all companions will be available for you to play as it just makes me wonder how the Cazador situation will be handled depending on who you play as because I don't see Larian just pointing out his location on the map and saying "ok, go kill him now". And that makes me genuinely afraid.

Ok so I tried it today and it's cut off, there is nothing after you try to bite them, you automatically fail your stealth check (idk why) and after the narrator says "They stare at you" it all cuts off to the place you began your long rest. Untill the game is released, I believe, it will remain a mystery))

@@baguettelol221 funny thing, when it came to the choice after the cutscene, I tried different people, and in all cases it's as you said, except Shadowheart. I fail the stealth check, every time, but there is dialogue after that. She gets sooo pissed, it's very amusing. You have 2 persuasion options to convince her it's fine. I don't remember well but I think she calls us a "dim-witted ghoul" lol. But after that, it's like nothing has happend.

Well either way there are some moments that are cut off from the game or bugged (because we shouldn't technically even PLAY as canon characters yet) but I think it's more interesting to play as a canon char. Your name is being told, some of your little quirks are pointed out... It all builds lots of empathy towards the char you play. I don't feel that to original one, sadly(

You can, at least all of the clips they’ve shown indicate as such. Like in the last video they put out, Shadowheart is being propositioned by Astarion. And you can see another clip of the two in her wine scene, with Astarion in the player’s role.

In DOS2, for example, you could romance anyone with everyone. So yes, you can bang the camp with Astarion, if needed. Long live the smutty artists!

@@heresfrankbetches921 there is not much except you sometimes have those little options to try and bite someone in the early game. You can also feel that Gale's blood is tainted and don't wanna bite him (untill your hunger kicks in again). You get the scene to bite someone but it's lagged out Since EA is not meant to have canon characters, there is not much that I found, sadly. But at least we know it will all be drastically different when you play as them

I believe that Elves from the world of Mystara (another D&D setting) can grow beards, however the Elves of Toril cannot. He may be a Half-Elf, or he could be an Elf with a distant human ancestor, or an Elf with a planar ancestor.
