12:25 Pact of the Blade IS in Baldur's Gate 3 though... My Wyll's been using it since level 3 and he's currently level 9! You can bind your wielded weapon to use your spellcaster modifier or summon a new one, there are even weapons in the game that get additional benefits if they are pact-bound (or being used by an Eldritch Knight). Other than that, fun video! I've not done any multi-classing yet, so it's neat to learn these tidbits for when I do in me other playthroughs.

Im glad most of what i know from 5e translates. looking forward to making one of my all time favorite builds: fighter/ storm sorcerer. looks like best build for lvl 12 would be 4 levels fighter, 8 storm sorcerer. not sure yet which fighter subclass to take, but I have a while to figure it out as the build takes first level fighter for armor, then 5 levels of sorcerer to get to those juicey 3rd level spells by level 6.

I am a bit dim but damn they should make the multi class icon more than a tiny icon in the corner of the level up screen, I thought it was just visual fluff for a while until I ran over it. Still.. thankfully the human fighter AKA basic bitch, is really powerful and I won't need another class for a while.

Pact of the Blade is in the full release and Eldritch Blast only gets your Charisma mod if you pick the correct perk.

@@matheusbravo3758 I suspect that a lot of videos out there right now are still based on the EA version. A lot of the articles haven't been updated on various sites either. Like, races aren't tied to stats and therefore not to classes anymore either. Standard 27 point build with a +2 to one stat and a +1 to another.

What's the correct perk if you're doing like a sorlock? Also would it be worth doing sorcerer with 2 levels in warlock and one in wizard, considering wizards can learn any spells from scrolls anyways?

Nice guide . Tho id prolly disagree on multi wizard i think it might be pretty good for one main reason . Scrolls. With the band of intellect you can cast up to 4 or 5 spells from the wizard tree . So if you happen to find powerful acrolls like counterspell which i dont know if can be found any where but if its possible then that woule be pretty good. Counterspell on a bard for instance that doesnt go lore bard would love these extra spells for just one level

scrolls are broken now, you take 1lvl in wizard and you can permamently learn lvl5 scrolls for your other class xD

Gloom Stalker Ranger / Assassin Rogue is all you need. Maybe even dip into Fighter to get Action Surge. Doubt there'd be much you couldn't absolutely wreck in one round considering you'd get six attacks off, two of them being Dread Ambushes.

You also get Assassinate which crits when you attack someone who hasn't played yet, and the sneak attack buff. Pretty freaking strong

So it’s these 2 combined: Dread Ambusher At 3rd level, you master the art of the ambush. You can give yourself a bonus to your initiative rolls equal to your Wisdom modifier. At the start of your first turn of each combat, your walking speed increases by 10 feet, which lasts until the end of that turn. If you take the Attack action on that turn, you can make one additional weapon attack as part of that action. If that attack hits, the target takes an extra 1d8 damage of the weapon's damage type. Assassinate Starting at 3rd level, you are at your deadliest when you get the drop on your enemies. You have advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn't taken a turn in the combat yet. In addition, any hit you score against a creature that is surprised is a critical hit. And then take half orc as your race: Savage Attacks When you score a critical hit with a melee weapon attack, you can roll one of the weapon’s damage dice one additional time and add it to the extra damage of the critical hit.

Eldritch Blast is 3 attacks doing d10 damage and if you get the level 2 invocation that's 3 attacks dealing d10+cha. It's much, much better than you suggested.

Monk was always like that (at least in D&D video games), the first time ive ever played a video game in that setting i wanted to make myself a Ninja, and the most obvious choice would be a Monk/Rogue (i thought) but i quickly realised that Monks do not mix well with other classes and my dream was assassinated silently in the middle of the night... it seems nothing changed over the years in that regard, Monks still walk the world alone (as a class for multiclass reasons at least). I didnt realy have the chance to see if there is a Ninja like sub class (or multiclass option) in BG3, i hope there is now...

if you pick 3 lvls in rogue and then subclass as Thief you get one more bonus action, which is pretty nice, but that's about it, you could pick a two levels in war cleric for the Channel Divinity of +10 to an attack roll on your stunning strike as well, but neither does thaaaaat much in terms of utility...

Monks in Baldur's Gate 3 have 3 subclasses to choose from, one of which IS that very archetype (the stealth assassin monk). The other two are: Elemental Monk (think Aang from Avatar the Last Airbender) and Way of the Fist Monk (basically your kick butt martial artist). Currently maining a Fist Monk for my first playthrough and loving it!

@@OneWingedRose They're called Way of the Four Elements, Way of the Shadows, and Way of the Open Hand. Way of Shadows is faaaaar from a Stealth assassin, they're way more focused on utility, and Spellcaster disabling.

@@matheusbravo3758 Weird, the bit on the developer livestream about Way of the Shadows seemed to imply that. Guess I misinterpreted if that's the case! At the very least they are good at stealth and can teleport from shadow to shadow which is neat.

@@OneWingedRose I mean, they do Deal a bunch of damage and are High mobility, but they are waaaaay outdamaged by an Assassin Rogue, they COULD be played like a ninja If you want, but i really feel like getting Silence and Mage Slayer with them are almost mandatory, so you can teleport right beside a spellcaster and Focus him down

You need to make simpler videos for us morons subclassing to level 2 fools. Can you explain what is a wizard? What is evocation, illusion and about 5 other such cryptic things? Any recommendation on spells and there were canned trips? Is that like a boat cruise? What separates wizard from sorcerer or warlock?

Some easy explanations for d and d classes Barbarians - " hulk smash " think of a hulk , drax they smash stuff with hands and weapons. Their thing is they are buff and intimidating. Bard - "one does not simply refuse to seduce the dragon" think starlord or any charismatic character. They are support and are able to almost talk or seduce their way out of anything while also knowing about alot of things. Cleric - "i find your lack of faith distrubing" they all vary a bit. They are heavily religious to their domain. They are tanky support with the ability to change quite a bit. Knowledge cleric - skill character you want to skill the game this is it. Think professor x less psychic more knowledge Life - healer wolverine without the claws but can heal others. Light - blaster human torch but outward blasts. Nature - being druid like think captian planet its almost a druid but more beefy they are more about being fanatic wildlife conservationalists. Nature clerics are less likely to let the animals and nature help but they still can. Nature clerics don't feel a connection to the animals and nature they feel more like they need help rather than thinking nature will help them. They keep the world from impeding on nature. Tempest - blaster tank that focuses on thunder/lightning think thor Trickery - sneaky tricky shenanigans think loki War - wants to use a weapon think Darth Vader. Druid - "only you can prevent forest fires....and save the animals" you are going to be all about using the power of nature and animals. Think the lorax/ Smokey the Bear/ poison Ivy / disney princesses (think about how nearly all of them talk with animals in a special way). It's like a nature cleric but way more connected to nature and less beefy. Nature clerics care about nature but pretty much all druids care about nature are more likely to get help from animals, live among them, control weather and plants. They use nature to save the world. Fighter - " I can do this all day" Skilled combatant or strategist typically relying on armor and weapon proficiency to defeat their enemies. Think Captain America, Mulan Monk - "kung fu fighting" think anime characters. Shadow is a naruto character, open hand is kenshiro from fist of the north star, 4 elements is avatar benders. They are kung fu characters with other powers Paladin - "you wouldnt hit a lady would you?" "The hammer of justice is unisex" think batman with more armor like ironman and no gadgets he would be a vengance paladin. He's pretty adherent to an oath. Ranger - "you're not wrong calling youself one of the worlds greatest archers" think hawkeye. Survivalist. They are typically thought of as archers but they can be melee. Rogue - "wherever we want to go we go." Think jack sparrow. They kind of do what they want are really shady and stealthy and hope peope aren't too mad at them for doing shady things. Sorcerer - "you made your kids with magic." "Thats what every mother does." Think scarlet witch they break the rules of magic Warlock - "where you are going every day is Halloween" think spawn they all have otherworldly patrons. Making a contract with a supernatural eldritch being for superpowers to fight. Wizard - "for in dreams we enter a world that is entirely our own" think dumbledore, Merlin. Characters that through intense study have the most magic a character can have and do.

Normally it's not that crazy but in baulders gate 3 it's great. Easy combo is tempest cleric storm sorcerer dump wisdom and max charisma for your sorcerer spells cast the cleric spells that don't use your stats.
