Baldur's Gate 3 BEST BATTLE MASTER MANOEUVERS Tier List

Today I will be ranking the BEST BATTLE MASTER MANOEUVERS in Baldur's Gate 3 on a Tier List! Some of these can make a huge difference in winning an encounter as it gives the Fighter some much needed crowd control and utility. It also gives them extra damage with the superiority die. This is my thoughts on which of the Manoeuvers are best, and which of them you're better off not taking in bg3. The fighter is such a good class and adding these in makes for some cool synergy with others builds as you can trip, push and strike fear in your foes!

I use Battle Master in my Embrace Dark Urge playthrough with 8 Tiger Heart Barbarian & 4 Battle Master Fighter multiclass. Goading attack is actually insanely good in that build because Barbarians are tanks and kinda want to take damage because a lot of Barbarian gear activates when attacked. I also used Dual wielding fire blades from your glitch and it wrecks enemies.

Goading attack is good but I never get the AI to attack that person for some reason! But yea in that multiclass it’s perfect! I just posted a dual flame blade build someone requested last night!

Since you take 7 Manoevres, by level 10, and there are only 6 between S & A tiers, I think that moves Precision Attack up to A tier. Increasing your hit chance actually does increase the damage you do, indirectly, by having you hit sometimes that you wouldn't.

I tend to select Trip Attack over Distracting Attack every time I build a Battle Master. The chance of breaking concentration is too big for me to pass on. Having said that, I think Distracting Attack has one advantage: if I'm not mistaken, Trip Attack has a str save while a Distracting Attack allows no save.

That’s true! Distracting strike sadly ends when the enemies turn starts so you have to be strategic with who you use it against

Definitely! It has high damage and gets crowd control and other utility from these battle master manoeuvres. I like the eldritch knight but it’s more focused on throwing your weapon whereas this one is focused on just straight up attacking

My latest MC is a Battle Master with a few levels in War cleric. I usually play arcane casters, but this is my favorite fighter clash. Pushing attack and riposte are my favorites, and I also have disarming. The next one I'll be adding is Menacing, thanks to your suggestion! I enjoy your vids, so I just subscribed. Cheers!!

I love fighter 11 war cleric 1 for the 4 attacks! Menacing attack is the most useful crowd control since the frighten status is so good! Thanks for subscribing I appreciate the support! If you ever have any requests for videos let me know

@@JasonDunna it's my 5th run, 3rd honour. My last build was 11 red dragon ancestry sorcerer/ 1 wizard- the highest burst damage so far I've played. I'm planning to go 4 war cleric/ 8 battlemaster, taking the extra feat and a few extra cleric spells instead of the extra attack. My character is using the sussur great sword, has the misty step necklace and boots. He's a supreme mage killer, though I seriously doubt I will take that feat. Rn, he has the adamantine splint + heavy armour master. Took the goblin camp at lev 6 with this equipment, hardly broke a sweat! Cheers!

@@JasonDunnayeah I’d agree, especially cuz action surge. And superiority dice respawn after short rest. And Fighters get crazy good proficiencies in both armor and weapons. My Lae’zel with the fire greatsword usually ends up mandatory clearing Act 1 level 3-5 areas.

6:42 you need a reaction, not an action to trigger this

I didn’t say it takes an action, but it’s sadly not that great since it ends when you end your turn. Mostly just for avoiding opportunity attacks!
