Hell yeah, Luke. Everyone hates on Lae'zel, but not only is she one of the best characters in the game, she also has the best VO actress in my opinion. Wish she was nominated for an award too, she really deserves it!

Ellen is a treasure. I named my Kingdoms of Amalur character after her and whenever I bring up somebody checking out Stray I strongly recommend her playthrough where she has to stop multiple times because of sheer uncontrollable joy.

Ellen, that was probably one of the least embarrassing interactions anyone has had with Neil Newbon. One that I love was on a stream of him doing signings for people, and after making a lot of jokes, he learned that there is in fact a Scottish clan named the McButts clan. McButts was the recipient of the signed picture and was in the stream. Apparently, he eventually met them face-to-face. 😂

The bad choice when leveling up is to multiclass. In most cases multiclassing before level 4 or so is a bad choice.

In 90% of cases, MCing in dnd is a terrible idea, the mechanic definitely feels like it was an afterthought in 5e.

Man I despise the radial menus in this game. The hot bar in DoS2 was so much cleaner & easier to navigate.

It doesn't have any radial menus on PC. At least when playing with mouse + keyboard which is by far the best way of playing this game.

Radials are much easier to navigate with a controller, though I can imagine hotbars are better with a keyboard and mouse. Trying to play FFXIV on PS5, using a controller for hotbars that were clearly designed for a mouse, was borderline painful.

Yeah, game is definitely better with hotbars on PC, though i like having my radials set up anyways so that i can lean back and use a controller for a bit if im just exploring, because it supports input hotswap. What weirds me out, is the game uses a different font if you're using a controller, than a M&K.

Literally only a couple of buttons you need to play this game and Luke tells Ellen to ignore the second most important one seconds in. You *do* need to use the trigger radials to play this game, as well. Lmao.

That begining fight I dont understand. Why does the mindflayer think you are on theirs side and will help them escape. They just put a thing in your eye arent you trying to escape from the mindflayers?

Mindflayers typically have great psychic control over their 'thralls'. This one thought it was giving commands to a mostly mindless servant, rather than somebody who still had free will. And since their ship had landed in one of the hells, it would make sense for anyone to try to escape - thrall or no.

The tadpole it put in your eye is SUPPOSED to allow them psionic control over you, turning you into a slave for the Illithid, until eventually it grows, destroys your brain, and turns you into a mindflayer yourself. It believed you to be one of it's thralls, controlled by an Elder Brain that forms a hive mind, however it is a plot point that the tadpole you (and your companions) received, is not your typical Illithid tadpole, and you are able to keep your mind, and control over your body (otherwise it wouldn't be a very fun play lol)

You can resurect her once you've recruitwd her as a companion but you don't have to. However Lae'zel is insanely prone to getting herself killed, like there are at least 5 times she will die without your intervention. And there are also several times where she will decide to stop being your companion and attack you if you make certain choices in the game.

it's not that bad once you get your head around it - keeps the screen clean, too. only issues ive found is that you have to use the wrong stick to select a song to perform or you insta-cancel it because you're using the movement stick.

@@Ich3Oh Saying "literally" 5e is a bit of a stretch, it definitely takes a lot of creative liberty with the rules lol (partly because they reworked a lot of it to be more "gamey" rather than RP, or to account for mechanics they didn't include, such as how spell sniper is a completely different feat due to the fact that cover mechanics aren't ingame, and partly just because they took a lot of liberty with the bonus action economy especially lol) I can see why they'd ask, a lot of things that are viable in tabletop aren't viable in BG3 (especially sad about the changes to the Divination Wizard's Portent getting a massive nerf, and Polymorph getting reduced to the sorry state that it is in game lol), but BG3 also reworks a lot of other stuff to make builds that aren't viable in Tabletop, work in BG3, such as the changes to Tavern Brawler, making full strength monk builds very fun to play.
