I wish the game was balanced around a larger party size like in previous BG games. I also struggled with trying to juggle party members around for quests and areas. There is so much interesting dialogue, banter and commentary that i wanted to bring them all.

*NON-SPOILER:* - City Map is vast so you will have to change out as quests become available and when you need to get the people involved in quest. You can bypass some quests and keep going to get the lay of the land, too. Few require you to immediately jump into a given quest... so take the people you want until it's time to enter a building or jump through portals." It is completely possible to wander the city with your team a bit, find various quests, and then go back and work on them with specific NPCs. :)

Logitch mouse and double clicking is exactly the reason why i got a new mouse and never go back to logitech
@FieldMarshall3Ай бұрын
I used to get a new mouse every time mine started to double click until i learned that fixing it wasn't that difficult. If you have tiny screwdrivers you can open it up and adjust the spring that affects mouse clicking. Or sometimes its not even that and its just gunk that needs removing.
@GophersVidsАй бұрын
@@FieldMarshall3 Problem is that I would need to order another mouse even if I did that, because I need a backup just in case I broke it during cleaning :)

@@GophersVids Ah yes that makes sense hehe. To be fair i was also worried about breaking what i had even more so i started out practicing on my older broken ones.

Gopher needs to learn that he can pick up dropped weapons during combat.
@GophersVidsАй бұрын
I already knew that. I mean it seems pretty obvious to be honest. But I was under the impression that it takes an action. Besides, looting mid fight may be normal when playing games for most people, but as a general rule I try to avoid doing it too much as it does somewhat shatter the immersion.
@juddknight1958Ай бұрын
@@GophersVids My apologies for my incorrect assumption. Yes, I understand your perspective. For players it is unfortunate that the programmers did not include a ‘kicking the weapon away’ mechanic, which in my opinion, would not conflict with maintaining the immersive experience.
@nemo-zl1vmАй бұрын
@@GophersVids It does take an action. I almost never bother swapping weapons or picking up a dropped weapon mid-combat, even if it leaves me at a disadvantage. Losing an action is rarely worth it. You did the right thing imo.
@nemo-zl1vmАй бұрын
@@juddknight1958 It would be cool if the Push bonus action could be used to "kick" weapons away. Unfortunately I just tested it in combat and it didn't work.

1:14:29 I hate this part sooo much, they made Emperor too good, too trustworthy, so the only reason to take the deal is heavy roleplay. But I guess this issue is with any rpg games, choices where you have to choose between two actually viable options are almost never happen. I mean why not add some rule that whatever Raphael does it wont affect world of mortals, so giving crown to him would be pretty much internal Hell issue. Or lets say make it so you cant destroy it and if you dont give it to Raphael it will blow up half of the mortal realm... or Emperor will have it and if he was less trustworthy it would also be a risk, since he is a Mindflayer after all. Right now there is no downside or risk in not taking the deal and taking Raphael's deal got no real upside for you. So as I said - the only reason to take this deal is simply to see what will happen, pure roleplay.

"Why are the bard options sometimes so DUMB" Somone doesn't know much about bards and it shows, they're precisely as bard options are meant to be, insanely sassy and stupidly sarcastic : ) Besides, you did the exact thing Jaheira did, just called them out before they had a chance to spring the trap, so it wasn't even dumb after all
@GophersVidsАй бұрын
She called them out AFTER drawing weapons. That's smart. The [BARD] option was just called them out. I'm gonna guess Jaheira would have been facepalming at how stupid this [BARD] was. But then, maybe she expects that because she knows more about bards than I do. Apparently somewhere between 2e and 5e, Bards had their brains removed ..... although that does explain Volo :)

What you are describing is a more a jester than a bard. A bard is a professional poet and singer, like among the ancient Celts, whose occupation was to compose and sing verses in honor of the heroic achievements of princes and brave men. A jester, aka a fool, is the one who has license to make jokes and to be "sassy and stupidly sarcastic."
@lewd2851Ай бұрын
@@GophersVids A wildly insignificant detail, the act of drawing a weapon does nothing in DnD, it doesn't take an action nor does it count on initiative, all that mattered in that moment is who got the jump on who, your only mistake is assuming your bard wouldn't have drawn his weapon too after delivering his signature sassy remark :)
@lewd2851Ай бұрын
@@pedigreeann Historically true, but DnD isn't very historically accurate as im sure you can attest to the dragons flying around the extreme abundance of tentacled monsters : ) Bards in DnD have a reputation, in complete due to the way people have popularized them being played as and some other more famous influences, as being the funny, supportive, bang-everything-in-sight trolls of the universe.
