So much nicer to have the ramble with the video for me. I get that that doesn't work for everyone else, but the podcast-section is less forced, and doesn't have a time limit on it. ;) Not to mention, I only have to queue up one video in my Watch Later, instead of 2. I know, I'm weird. The longer rants actually make time go by a whole lot faster for me too. Because once it's done, I realize, "OH COOL! Just made another hour go away without going insane. That's a WIN!" ;)

The lack of dye use during the fashion points of this series is quite disturbing, what happened to our Gopher who used to spend 2 hours on making sure the outfit was on point, he must've been replaced by a tadpole completely. Karlach is by far my favorite romance, and the one that keeps me from doing a proper evil run. Also yeah, Jaheira is, as the kids would say, mommy

Helmet of Grit can be good for Karlach if you deliberately take her down to 50% hp. She takes half damage while raging anyway, also she kills everything before it hurts her. One more bonus action is one more enraged throw, nothing to sneeze at :-)

Loved the discussion today!! I agree that I much prefer perks to stats. Interested to see how ES6 deals with things. Also, very excited for Skyblivion!

I strongly recommend giving consideration to the term "thou shalt not negotiate with kidnappers" when it comes to Orin.

But negotiating with kidnappers is hands down the most successful method of getting the kidnapped victim back and almost always the recommended course of action in a kidnapping case if you talk to law enforcement. However, in this case we're not really negotiating either. We're just going to do something we were already going to do (Kill Gortash) as a way to get close to Orin (to kill her) without getting Laezel killed first.

@@GophersVids True, but personally I find Gortash much less of an immediate threat than Orin, who is actively running about slaughtering innocencts, and consider that he proposed an alliance you did not outright reject, which means if you kill orin first, you can likely get him away from a lot more of his guards. (Plus above board... I recommend getting laezel back afore "we have all the netherstones, let's go end the game" if you don't want that sense of "this feels urgent but really isn't" to end the game right away)

@@RinIsArty Right, but at this point if I go to Orin before I kill Gortash, I risk getting Laezel killed. This is a blind play through, so I have no foreknowledge (not do I want any) of what will happen. And I really don't want to lose Laezel :)

@@GophersVids Keep in mind from a character perspective, you think Orin The Red, Chosen of the God of Murder, Psychopath extraordinare, lady literally wearing the skin of butchered victims both through being a changeling and literally as clothing, is liable to keep her word? Personally I'd go for "kill her before she gets bored and murders my companion" (not least because my first run I genuinely expected she would just kill them for fun anyway lol)

@@RinIsArty I'm not sure which word you mean? She promised to kill Laezel if we tried to find her before we killed Gortash and brought her the gem. And yeah, I tend to believe that :) But I'm guessing she'll keep Laezel as long as she feels she might be leverage and once we visit her she'll try to kill us all. But we were always going to kill her anyway, so that seems to work out.

EDIT: This seems to be resolved now. Hey Gopher, not sure if you're aware but the edit to your last video (#64) removed ALL sound for a minute or two, starting at 2:39:30. Just FYI so you know - it's not just getting the background music.

There's a creator on KZbin that has a second channel for just the music he uses. He copyright claims himself to guarantee he gets at least some of the monetization.

When it comes to Jaheera's outfit, I think you're interpreting things wrong. It's her "respectable outfit", which implies that most of her outfits are not respectable, so she'd be fine with wearing that hot outfit she tried on.
