From what I know, instead of freeing Us, I killed him in his host (also played a Githyanki), I also killed the devourer on the top deck of the ship as well, so that may have influenced things as well. That made the very same devourer hostile for me

Warlocks also get a class option for releasing her. Cleric does not, for now, anyway. I imagine Sorcerer will have an option whenever that class goes live.
@GarethTheGreat3253 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't think so, bard is more likely. A Warlock could have this knowledge from their patron maybe being how they were contacted in the first place, and a wizard has all the book knowledge they would need to justify knowing this. Sorcerer, in my opinion, while being a fantastically fun class should not really know about magic seeing as how they draw upon an innate power rather than being tutored, same reason that they are unable to ritual cast.
@richardyoung34623 жыл бұрын
Well, that's the thing. The console needs something to power it. The Wizard scribes runes of power, the warlock channels their patron's power. Why wouldn't a sorcerer just use their own power to charge the console? The locked chest contains a power device, no matter what, so anyone can still open her pod. As far as knowledge, it's up to the player to pick their backround and the knowledge skills that come with it, so they could easily start with Arcana. I just find it interesting that they are allowing for other options besides opening the chest to get the power cell to free her. Allowing for different playthroughs.

Warlocks can hack the lock by altering the warding runes.

When I was playing earlier this month as a Druid, I think I might've failed my Arcana check. So I had to go around to one of the side rooms or check those little enclaves in that ship chamber for a key to unlock the pod. I was really glad when they gave you the option to free her and she was in the pod. In an earlier patch i tried looking for a key but couldn't find it.

Man, how anyone can find creatures like the Githyanki, Mass Effect's tentacled Asari, and "furry" half-animal half-human characters sexually appealing is just beyond me. They may look exotic but they also look repulsive. This is not a choice between a blonde and brunette, for example, that depends on "taste;" it's a choice between a normal human and some sort of deformed humanoid freak.
@jenmygem Жыл бұрын
Idk, I don't find Githyanki attractive cause of their lore. However, I'm fine with Githzerai. Not sure if I'm sexually attracted to them in both cases? I'm good with Asari though lol. No opinions for half-animal humans but half-demons are hot in my book. Wbu? Lmao you gotta have some exceptions right?
@picophd Жыл бұрын
@@jenmygem Half-demons, like in The Witcher 3's succubi, can be temporarily hot for kinky corruption fantasies and such. But to find Asari, Githyanki, Githzerai, or furries sexually attractive though, all strictly from aesthetic perspectives? I shudder! And clearly, there is a significant portion of gamers that finds those species sexually attractive. Otherwise, the devs would not have invested all those resources to offer romance options with Lae'zel in Baldur's Gate 3 and Liara in the Mass Effect trilogy, for example. This is why I feel very surprised and wrote my original comment above. I have finished the ME trilogy probably dozens of times, and I have not even ONCE followed a romance with Liara. I just couldn't. The idea gave me shudders of repulsion and strong feelings of ... "unnatural." In Mass Effect Andromeda, I made an exception once for its Asari romance, just because the face, voice-acting, and personality were much more attractive than the female human option (can't remember their names now). I was very unimpressed with the female options of romance in Andromeda, all of them, for various reasons. I also made a happy exception for ME trilogy's Tali'Zorah, because that accent and the personality and voice-acting were all too cute and irresistible; and at least in Tali'Zorah's case, I couldn't see any freaky alien faces or tentacles or scales or dragon-like skin, so I could just imagine a very human face or elf-like features or something. However, Tali'Zorah's fan art that shows her with human-like hands, manicured nails and all, but with only three fingers ... eugh ... God, that gave me shudders of repulsion too. And frankly, I bother to think about this issue and comment on it so much mainly because it is reducing the human romance options in games for people like me. You see what I mean? When game devs keep investing resources, like programming, writing, graphics, animation, voice acting, and so on, in romance options with these freaky alien species that I'll never find sexually attractive, it means that those resources are taken away from offering more options of romance with humans. So, less variety, less playing time, less replayability, and so on. And that sucks ... at least for me and people like me. 😂 I really am curious, though, just how much of the player base of the relevant games would actually choose Liara over Jack or Miranda in Mass Effect 2, for example, and how many would choose Lae'zel over Shadowheart because they genuinely find the former more aesthetically attractive (not because of personality, culture, voice acting, and so on). So, yeah, disregarding culture, personality, and voice acting, the game devs should really see the percentage of the players that would genuinely pick that alien face and body over a human face and body, separate from any other details. And if it doesn't look like that percentage is big, then frankly, it would be better off if they put all these resources, the voice acting talent, the pretty face designs, and the unique culture, and so on, into human characters that belong to certain cultures like that instead.
@jenmygem Жыл бұрын
@@picophd Oh damn I never thought about it that deep before LOL. Made some valid points tho. There must've been people on the writing teams of ME who founded certain alien species hot enough to write romances for in the Mass Effect games ig. Why don't you like the Asari tho? I think they look the most human. 😂
