@@declancampbell1277 It's possible, this is video of a very old patch and they have changed companion approval values before(for example, in patch 7, Astarion had no opinion on mugging the fishermen by the beach, but with patch 8 he approves of it now)

You'd think they'd just focus on adding new stuff/balancing, but as always larian is commited to detail and depth. If theyre still adding stuff to act 1 though, it makes me a little worried for the release date. Its an expected 2023 release, and Act 2 is usually huge in comparison to 1 and 3 in larian games. im not sure if they'll be able to achieve the same depth in the other acts if theyre still adding stuff to act 1 after nearly 2 years of early access

@@PurpleHazePro I think it’s the same as when you say pain’s got a good purpose since Ilmater and loviatar are both gods of pain, just ilmater is a receiver and tries to be noble and martyr-y about it. I remember that while playing as my cleric of ilmater... I don’t remember specifics about it though.

@@gtaylor1442 He isn’t really a god of pain. And the churches of Ilmater and Loviatar hate each other. It honestly baffles me that the unique Ilmater dialogue is participating in a ritual of Ilmater’s archenemy. If a cleric of Ilmater participated in a Loviatar ritual, they honestly might even lose their powers.

It happened to me as well. You can drag your character's icon (from the left side of the screen) away or towards the others so that you can separate from the others or make them follow you

I think they're ok:) Gale and Wyll both say it isn't for them but if you like it go for it. I think that is pretty understanding. The book on the desk gives some background for this form of worship and it does specify not to kill the person because if they were dead or had broken bones it would impede their worship.... so I mean he's not going to kill you:)

Shadowheart IS an evil cleric, in case anyone still didn't know at this point. I didn't at first and found it odd how a cleric kept disapproving when I would help people. That said, she does have a soft spot for petting dogs. Pretty bad storytelling honestly on Larians part.

@@sarahno4748 sure they can, Hitler did. Sarcasm aside, it just makes no sense Shadowheart would disapprove of helping everyone EXCEPT the dog. Like, Larian is pretty bad at staying in character roles. Pretty sure I got absolutely no one disapproving when I gave up Astarion to the vampire hunter too, I'm pretty sure he would probably disapprove. Yet, he leaves his entire backpack full of items the next time you sleep ... I guess simulating his death/capture? whatever, if anyones playing this game for the story there are parts that make absolutely no sense. Like the bug where you can't help Mayrina and have to kill auntie ethel bc the game bugs out. then she gets mad at you, you can still raise her husband from the dead as a zombie but he goes aggro on everyone including her, then she gets mad at you all over again for killing him, even tho she helps do it. This game is literally so broken I'm pretty sure an extra year isn't going to fix half the bugs in it, much less all of them.

No I don't think it does, I can't see anything new added to my stats and it didn't heal me either. So unless it's hidden somehow then I don't think it gave anything.

Yes! But on my go around I chose to pass all performance checks instead of intimidation. He gave the blessing but I couldn't find it.... turns out the blessing went to Astarion. He has an icon in his hot bar that looks like a swirl (same icon used for Scratch's ball) it will boost your stats if you make a blood sacrifice :)

instead of adding your intimidation score to your roll it lowers the target roll
