@@BrianDgreat123 Exactly and if they don’t patch it out, you can still save her. Just use a save from before she comes to camp. Go to Emerald grove and knock her out. Then you will get a stand in. Another bard that will die in her stead I can’t post links here. But KZbin is full of videos about that. Just search for „Save Alfira from the urge“ or something ;)

me seeing alfira as a playable companion on the night she's supposed to die: "don't do that. don't give me hope." although having said that it might be possible that someone figures out some trick to keep her alive and make her an actual companion, and god i hope larian has a contingency plan for that, like how if alfira lives through to the end of the game there's a special variation of the letter from her

No clue honestly, as there is still a way to keep her alive in previous patches (knocking Alfira down, a different bard is killed in her place). Larian stated she is a temporary companion, meaning she is supposed to leave the party at some point of the game. I would assume that yes, if she joins the party Durge would end up killing her. But with letting her being a fully playable companion (even if temporary), there might be a surprise with how her story would play out.

@@viktoria_pikovsky more than anything you can see that she doesn't have a tent unlike the others (it also happens with halsin if you decide to recruit minthara too). In the end it can only end in two ways 1) She dies 2) for some reason she decides to go back with the tieflings. 3) what do they do with Quill's character? this doesn't matter but I'm curious to see probably they'll put her and no longer alfira

@@federicosodini1146 Well, Larian isn't exactly hiding the idea that Alfira is only going to be a temporary companion. Sure she now has levels and approval points, but they still remain loyal to her Durge run story of becoming their victim. So now she is less of a NPC you meet for a quest, and more of Aerith from FF7. As for possible endings to her story, I see Larian implementing all of the 3 options- 1) Alfira would die if she joins the party and doesn't get knocked out/ killed as a companion to be revived by Withers. 2) If she does get knocked out, the game would flag Quill as Durge's victim in her place. It's basically like how if you knock down/ kill Durge the night they suppose to kill Alfira, Sceleritas Fel does the killing instead. In that scenario. once Alfira would be revived (and Quill dead), she could safely leave the party to help the Tieflings. 3) If Quill dies while Alfira in the party, maybe she could somehow learn she supposed to be Durge's victim, and the Dragonborn lady "took her part". And if she does, she might want to leave the party for her own safety, and stay away from Durge till they solve their problem with Bhaal. There might be even variations to her ending relationship with Durge down the line, depending on if Durge Resisted Bhaal or embraced it. Or maybe Larian would fully embrace Aerith story, and would make it so Alfira would always die if she joins the party no matter what you do. And then it would the the struggle of having her as a companion, or not having her join yet saving her life by that.

Being able to play patch 7.0 doesn't give you access to the mod creation tool. I also wouldn't say it's easy; it takes some coding knowledge but it looks really doable.

I just make Shadowheart do all the support stuff. 2 transmutation wizard, 10 life cleric. She casts warding bond, she makes potions, she heals. She even has longstrider and feather fall and light.

They're both too powerful to be companions. Aaylin is the daughter of a god. Isobel has to be incredibly powerful to be able to let people walk in the shadowfell so easily
