@@M_AlexanderI threw them close to the Arcane Tower’s magic cannons disabling them. After talking to the construct on top of the tower, I got the flowers that I used on the cannons and put one flower near each enchanted armor on top of the tower. It doesn’t deactivate them because they’re made of the weave but all constructs but Bernard were incapacitated by the anti-magic field of the Sussur flower. That flower made those encounters easy.

Absolutely! One of my fave things to do is quicksave during dialogue to go through all the different trees. The characters are all just so unique and sweet in their own way that it's rarely enough to pick one option and stick with it.

Yeah, Lae'zel is very much a companion that improves the longer you know her. Like, you meet her, and she's like... abrasive, and superior, and condescending. But then she figures out that you're actually competent, and a lot of the condescension drops out. And then you presumably shatter her world-view at the Creche, and then... Yeah. Once you figure out why she is the way that she is, it's a lot easier to go 'okay, yeah, you're actually pretty chill.' Not to mention, when you consider everything she knows? Without the artefact staving off your ceremorphosis, she'd absolutely be right that pretty much literally nothing else matters but getting to a Zai'thisk and getting purified as quickly as possible, because the average player is absolutely not getting to that Creche 'in time,' and it's quite literally your soul on the line. (The matter of the zai'thisk's efficacy notwithstanding)

But the best part is for all these multiple choice scenes, it always displays each characters personality so well. It's a real testament that for such a big cast, everyone is fleshed out and very individual.

I'm not sure which classes get this commentary. I know that Sorcs get it (that's what I was playing for this) and judging by Gale's comment about feeling the same I assume wizards might too? I have not tried it with a warlock avatar. Edit: for full context this Tav is a Sorc/Bard multiclass, I have not tried any other classes.

Warlocks and clerics should not get affected and I think neither shpuld wizards. This is lore accurate due to the origin of the magical energies these classes wield. Sorcerers channel their magic from their innate ability so they are their own font of power and thus it can be depleted by Sussur flower. The other caster classes derive their magical energies from an external source though:. Warlocks get their power from their patron, and clerics from their deity while wizards tap into the weave and manipulate it to do their bidding. These are sources of magical energy that are active only when used instead of constantly present in the wielders body. However the flower can suck the magic out of their spells when they cast near the flower.

I believe this dialogue is only accessible by an avatar with specific magic using classes. I haven't been able to confirm which classes do not get this dialogue, though some commenters have said that warlocks and rangers do not get it. I can confirm though that you will get this dialogue if your avatar has any subclass of sorcerer as their main class (as in, the class you pick for level one and which is represented as your main class by a symbol next to your avatar's portrait)

That is a very neat question. I suppose it might depend on whether 1) the magic his condition would unleash is weak enough to be absorbed by the flower before destroying it, and 2) whether the flower absorbs Netherese magic the same way it does weave. If the answer to 2 is true, then theoretically if we put him in a room full of hundreds of flowers it might juuust be enough to absorb the explosion. However if 1 is false then it's possible that it would dampen the explosion but not fully stop it, and not prevent it from killing him. If the answer to 2 is false then it should have no effect, in theory. Though, I'm curious as to your thinking on the matter.

It just crossed my mind that maybe the flower could "stun" the orb to render it temporarily inert

@andybodle7560 Eh? They don't lose their power. I like to reverse pickpocket one onto Balthezar in order to silence him. It just says they die if exposed to sunlight in their description. It's not how they actually work. My camp chest even generates a permanent antimagic field now.

My tav in this video is a Sorcerer main, as in the first class I picked for them during character creation was sorcerer. I've heard that other casters, warlock for example, do not get this scene. I can confirm however if your Tav/Durge are Sorc mains they will get this

It's one of the items that comes with one of the versions of the game, the same one that gives you the merryweather lute. I think it's the digital deluxe items? I'm not 100% sure sorry. It should be in the camp chest though if you have it installed just check there.

I've only gotten this scene with characters who are at least 1 level sorc. This particular character is a sorc main (the first class you pick during character creation), as seen by the sorc indicator on the bottom left next to the actions tab.

Idk about Minthara as I haven't actually allied with the goblins in any of my playthroughs yet, but (act 2 spoilers) you can't actually get Halsin to join your active party until Act 2, which means you can't get this scene with Halsin, as the Sussur flowers only spawn in the underdark in Act 1 (as far as I'm aware), and this scene only triggers the very first time you enter the anti magic radius of the Sussur flower. As a result it's mechanically impossible to have Halsin in your party in vanilla BG3 when getting this scene.
