Hi all! Today we the all Bard party! This one was really fun to do, as coming up with fighting styles to match the various instruments made for a cool challenge. The party ended up being rather strong as well, both in role play and in combat!

Me and the boys busting Baldurs gate as a band of bards using these beautiful builds. Also next definitely be paladins and have the lore be that the oath breaker is actually evil and the other paladins don’t know.

Yeah, I think you definitely nailed the looks! Been really enjoying the whole series, I have to say. Sidenote: Defensive Duelist is something I always take on characters that use Finesse weapons actively just for flavour, so maybe it's bias, but I really feel like it should get +1 DEX too.

My vote being paladin and the lore be the three that didn’t break oath are students of the oath breaker and the oath breaker is teaching the other three and guiding them to keep their oaths so they don’t end up as oath breakers. Also idk if your up for it but for the next series if possible you should do a “origin character but multi classed with each class” like best fighter plus (insert each class here at some point) build for leazel or karlack with a best barbarian plus (insert each class here at some point) etc with each origin character? Seems like a lot so maybe not but idk seems like it would be fun and a long series lol

I love the fact that some bards can just pick spells from any list regardless if it's arcane or divine in nature. A big middle finger to other casters. If we could pick up wildshape as well that would be simply perfect.

a level 7 eldritch knight has one less spell slot than a level 7 paladin. you could literally go 8/2/2 on ek with a pally and wizard and end up the same slot wise as a level 12 pally.

You lose a level 3 spell slot by going this 8/2/2 split. What do you get besides spell scribing anyway? The draw of 12 paladin is improved divine smite so you lose a lot of damage by doing this

Just when I thought of a non-instrumental bard this build comes out. Is there any way to make something similar, but with a focus on powering Vicious Mockery up as well? I really wanted to try a poetry bard whose whole schtick is bullying enemies with the sheer power of their quill and talent

You can grab the Potent Robe, which would add your CHA modifier to the damage of Vicious Mockery. You would need mage Armour or unarmoured defense, though. If you can find a way to get two bonus actions, you could use Band of the Mystic Scoundrel to use VM twice per turn after weapon attack. Then, if you can squeeze 10 levels of Enchantment Wizard in there, you would be able to use Split Enchantment to target multiple enemies. I might do a full video on this soon.

honestly, i've been trying to make a life domain land druid necromancy wizard multiclass work. land druids get the vampiric touch spell at level 5.

@@HoboZone wisdom based spellcasting. 1 life domain means vampiric touch heals more on hit, this is stacking with grim harvest that heals on kill. Clerics get inflict wounds which is a big damage necromancy spell: so for it to hit properly we pump and dump wisdom until its cranked to the max. We use land druid as its the only spellcaster that gets vampiric touch besides warlock and wizard. i was thinking of a 1/2/9 cleric-wizard-druid split.

honestly even though I love bards conceptually, that one Larian video where one of the devs says that "My favourite part of Bards is killing them" completely stunned me, it's so raw that I can't help but have an anti-bard stance now.

I had. Similar idea for this. But also not really. It was 2 bards, a manager and their bodyguard. - Manager was a warlock arch fey patron who could handle his own in a fight(pact of blade) but mainly talked his way out of things(beguiling influence) and Handled all money in the party. Hes a rat. Staying in the back and -keeping himself- i mean the money safe. Yeah. The money. -bodyguard was an orc battlemaster. He kept the bards safe via pushing attacks, taunting, goading, etc. If possible even compelled duel. Never leaving their sides. -1st bard was a college of swords bard. A sword juggler who stole the show, duel wielder dps basically. Curved/scimitar/rapiers mainly for looks. Maybe daggers. Would prefer one of the 3 mentioned. In battle he debuffs the enemies by using taunts to make them less likely to hit, dancing around the enemies. -2nd bard is college of valor, one who cheered on the main bard via exciting drum music. Combat wise he buffs the team by inspiring them with battle music(flavor), upping their damage or making them take less.
