I think this might be the most evil thing I've ever seen anyone do in BG3.

Every betrayal choice is the most evil thing you can do in BG3. For pure evil playthrough. is by helping everyone before act 3. and betray after act 3.

Why because it happened to lesbians?
@James--Parker13 күн бұрын
@@ncrrangerrolandtembo4615 Because you give Aylin a taste of hope and freedom. She spent 100 years being a slave forced to empower someone she hated, beleving her lover was dead. Only for you to break her free and for her to discover Isobel was still alive. She had everything she ever wanted. Then you betray her (for money of all things). Force her into a eternity of slavery again. And make her watch as Isobel dies right in front of her. While all she can do is stand there protecting the person who killed her. Peak evil.

I‘m honestly surprised that Shadowheart can still be a Selunite after participating in that. I mean… I don‘t think Selûne is too pleased about enslaving her daughter once more, let alone letting her girlfriend be killed 💀

Well, considering how utterly disappointingly weak she is in the game by herself, even if she did ever get out she'd have to ambush you in your sleep to ever have a chance at actually offing you.
@Lardo1376 күн бұрын
Aylin's completely hit or miss because that's just the nature of 1) paladins as a martial class, and 2) necessary game balance decisions due to Aylin's nature as an additional party member against the overwhelming power of action economy advantages. In the actual lore, which apparently only half the playerbase listens to, Aylin's supposed to be as powerful as you'd expect a demigod to be - about as powerful as any of the Chosen individually, or other god-favored warriors. (Also in the lore, multiple characters die to a 1d4 dagger, so her in-game combat stats aren't supposed to be a literal translation of her lethality.) It's also worth noting that as a paladin, she has a fair bit of "invisible" power due to the nature of Aura of Protection and Aura of Devotion, which provide passive bonuses that aren't immediately apparent but incredibly powerful. That's why Paladins are considered one of the strongest classes in base 5e, and arguably their actual strongest feature (because even in BG3 where you can make paladins into damage monsters, none of that matters if they immediately fail a saving throw that incapacitates them).

See I’d agree with “We turned her into that” if the same logic was also extended to other characters but most everyone else gets the “Nuh uh you choose who you are and you can’t blame others actions for your own” so… Either way, I do think Dame Aylin is a vengeful maniac perfectly willing to murder the innocent descendants of someone who wronged her and a general irritating jerk regardless. She might have a damn good reason for some of that, but it doesn’t change how unpleasant and haughty she is overall.
@destroyerblackdragon8 күн бұрын
@@RexisSOULDude Isobel was literally a descendants of someone who wronged her she has every right to hate you. You’re no better than Balthazar. You imprinted the worst image of humanity in her mind and doomed Alylin to become a monster consumed by vengeance.

Aylin always acted like a villain and her being Selune's daughter is probably a scam as well. Aylin states herself that the only proof that she is Selune's daughter is... just her existing. Isobel really deserves better than an unhinged narcissist. Also it seems like Selune REALLY doesn't care about Aylin.
