Baldur's Gate: Five cheap ways to kill Drizzt

My method was having 4-5 party members surround him so he can't move, then have these party members leave your party but stay in place. This way they become neutral (Drizzt won't attack them) and you can safely hack at him with a long reach weapon like a halberd (which the nearby gnolls drop coincidentally). Even if your character sucks with the weapon, any critical hits will do full damage, so you can just start attacking, go away and drink some coffee/watch a show and check every now and then until he's dead.

Although I'm playing BG1:EE atm. This still feels very nostalgic; the old style graphics, the spell casting sounds. The original nearly feels like a different game. Good times. It's interesting to see all the possible ways to kill Drizzt. I must admit I was actually quite surprised how quickly he dropped when he was backstabbed. :D

speed potion / haste / boots of cheetah on everything possible 0:00 backstabbing thief + invisibility / hide in shadows 0:34 wand of monster summoning mass spawning + whatever range attack (even sling) 1:35 (this one's interesting) Otiluke's resilient sphere + range attacks (was _very_ close call though since the sphere wears off after few turns) 2:31 'an archer army' (no idea where to get these) 3:41 'standing target' - with low quality pathfinding setting make drizzt to be stuck on the shore of the pond while range attacking from the other side; in essence same as 'surround with NPCs' approach - except with that you can use long reach melee weapon, too; took almost 3 minutes

My method was to equip the eagle bow to an archer with arrows of detonation (At least 20). The Eagle bow applies a character's strength bonus to damage, and Arrows of Detonation NEVER miss. Give the Archer the speed boots, and the haste spell. One hundred percent cheese, and NO effort at all.

you can also surround Drizzt w/ NPCs by removing them from the party then arrow him to death

or just use a two handed weapon, and stand behind the blocking character and attack

Or you can just summon some skeletons, make them surround Drizzt, order them to attack, and lose your vision by walking away from Drizzt. It tooks usually about 5 min.

For non-Polish speakers, the first character is a F/T half-elf. The stats and weapons are a dead giveaway. Only warriors get exceptional STR in 2E (aka percentile STR, since its 18/xx and rolled with percentile dice). INT is 4, aka dumb as a brick. CON and DEX are both 18s (not an ELF). She is using a sword (not a druid or cleric, 2E is hard about weapon restrictions).

Sprite'y postaci w oryginalnym BG1 wyglądały tak dużo lepiej niż w BG2 oraz Enhanced Edition. Te zbroje, hełmy, miecze, miło się na to patrzy. Szczególnie pełna zbroja płytowa w BG2 wygląda obrzydliwie. Szkoda, że modele z BG1 nie obsługiwały walki 2 broniami. Ale odnczego są mody graficzne, takie jak 1PP.

lol... I dont understand the urge to break every game ^^ This has been the greatest gaming experience of my life. I took that kid Imoen with me, always played with full party and tried to play out the development of the characters. It made some fights much harder I guess, because all the shared experience keeps your group low. And I totally played it for role playings sake, not for becoming some unrealisticly bad ass creature ^^ But to everyone his own fun :)

Imoen can solo him level 1... Save, set traps. If you succeed, save and rest and repeat. If you fail, load and repeat. easy skimmies.

There is a video much more cheaper with level 1, you surround him with your party, then dismiss, Drizz won't attack your party and can't move surrounded by them. Then just shot all your arrows. zD

He does. If you have his equipment in your inventory he calls you a thief and murderer and attacks you on sight. Same if your character is named Drizzt and your reputation is low he attacks you for making his name look bad.

+gagnashdiak x if you think that´s overpowered read the books about him^^ he probably (according to the last 3 books) has 2 goddesses watching over him his patron deity Mileki and the Drow goddess of chaos Llolth simply for the Chaos Drizzt brought to his home town menzoberanzan. so his MR is divinely boosted (can´t be the games are 20 years old the books stating he is in the interest of Lolth is new but game designers didn´t want him to be vincible.) well we should be glad he does not have his wifes bow the heart seeker. (dunno if they implemented it in the bg2 game or if Catti brie has a normal longbow +3 as heart seaker with unlimited lightning arrows would be, well decently over powered)

Metalhammer1993 Heartseeker is in the game (baldursgate.wikia.com/wiki/Heartseeker), and just like any ranged weapon in the end it sux. You want overpowered character? Try a barbarian through the trilogy. Has 20% resist elements, 85% resist magic, 80% resist physical damage, 50% resist magic damage, -12 saving throws (-17 breath weapons), 4 attack per round (w/o haste/whirlwind, in comparsion of 3 attack from Heartseeker), -15 thac0 (lowest AC is -20 in the system). Drizzt might have Plot Armor, still, by pure stats barbarian of Baldur's Gate is superior. Like by a lot.

Is there any reason why he would say we must make haste if he is the only one fighting? How can Drizzt's weapons call out for battle if those things are not people anyway? And if Artemis makes no appearance in this game where the pagan Norsemen's god Baldur never makes a appearance. Why would he say come on Artemis is no doubt on me heels for if he isn't even being chased by him anyway? If Artemis is not in the game why mention his name? Makes no sense to me.
