HBMs has become one of the best tech mods both visually and mechanically. The size of most of the machines is pretty realistic unlike the 1x1x1 blocks most tech mods used to have. The best part ... it's still getting updated regularly !!

I think the cooling tower is just a preference based thing , as we can't see the gui it's really hard to determine the difference in speeds between the auxiliary and the big cooling tower. As for the pipes yeah even I wish there was a cover for them or something like that. Anyways Merry Christmas to you too bro :)

Good news is I built it the bad news is i accidentally detonated the little boy in my world and lucky I survived lol I'm not in the base that time I was just mineing and the i accidentally switched to the detonator. Btw the bomb is a design that I armed and it's for muntants safety and titans. I modded the muntants and the other creatures that I added like Herobrine level1 to level3. Level3 is destructive

you can just use the bomb defusal tool on duds, its way more efficient but depending on luck

That depends on how many duds you find , and still run the risk of the bomb going off in your face. And I think you can find more gold than Duds in your world. And the dud can then be used for euphemium production ... But hey that's me if extracting it from dud is your way then all the power to you xd

Yeah that's true there aren't many designs which can run the Balefire rods with ease. On the good side tho you can use it to power your fusion reactor or Jetpacks

The irradiation reactor is really inefficient. Since you're using fast neutrons for irradiation, it's 5 times less efficient. Not to mention the amount of boilers, and even the fuel. Really, a much simpler, cheaper and more efficient setup is to have a single self-igniting rod (MEP being the easiest option) surrounded by 4 moderators with reflectors behind three of them and an irradiation channel behind the fourth. 4 boilers in the corners would then be more than sufficient to operate on even ultra-dense steam. You could also add control rods before the reflectors for power adjustments and emergency shutdown, but that's optional. And, most importantly, despite being smaller and significantly cheaper to build and operate, such a reactor would be 25% more efficient in irradiating gold (100% efficient slow neutrons from 1 rod, over 20% efficient fast neutrons from 4 rods - 1.25 times better)

My variant can, now that I think of it, also serve for depleting flashgold rods at the same time, as long as it's outfitted with control rods (preferably automatic), and maybe trimmed down a reflector or two.

iirc I did mention this in the video but I'll say it again , the purpose of the video was to show the process of obtaining balefire so I didn't really focus on making the most efficient depleting reactor that I could That said I am not the best person to come up with RBMK designs anyways there are many people like yourself who make much more functional and Awesome designs for the reactor. Is there any water outlet? I need to quickly and efficiently get rid of wastewater from my cooling tower, because the reactor already has an infinite source of water. (It's a small fission reactor, not an RBMK) It also has easy access to an ocean, so flooding shouldn't be a problem if that happens.

If you are playing on 1.7.10 then you can make a water dumping barrel by placing a heavy infinite water tank in the output side of a barrel and joining your water pipes to it (the last I checked this method was working)
