Fyi, for anyone that wants to build nuclear reactors quickly, always ALWAYS go for the ore acidizer/centrifuge combo, easily the best way to farm desh, you will need boron for the reactor so make sure to make some mining charges too

from making a lot of zirnox reactors totally in survival (i made 2 in creative xd) i use the industrial steam generators since the small ones usually cant handle anything more than a full reactor with uranium fuel rods, and the pressure builds up eventually

Hi, I keep running into a problem where the water in the cooling tower fills up and thereby the Steam is damming up in the reactor causing it to become critical. I've already built a water tank but that isn't sustainable nor afk-able is there any way to get around that issue? Very short and easy explanation btw keep it going!

To get around this what you can do is take another tank , set it to water and place an "infinite water tank" in it's OUTPUT slot and connect the water pipe from the cooling tower into this tank. Now this second tank will function as an infinite water dump for you. Cause if water is filling up the cooling tower that means the source of water you have feeding the reactor is more than enough and you don't really need to loop the converted water back into the reactor. Also please do try this solution first in creative mod and once you are satisfied that your reactor won't blow up modify your setup in survival :)

Nothing would really happen if you had a block on top of the reactor , it will only explode if the internal temperature or pressure reaches too high

Haven't really tested the hopper compatibility for Zirnox so I don't really know man sorry. Just shift right click with a hopper on the Zirnox and see if it connects anywhere

Things get interesting once you get this stuff set up in your world! Using the depleted fuel pool drum and centrifuge, you can recycle depleted fuel into other useful nuclear materials for making bombs or more (possibly stronger) fuel edit: For short, it's probably gonna be the beginning of the nuclear tech age in your survival world

Yes the reactors in this mod do explode and when they do they spit out radiation in the surrounding atmosphere along with some debris on the ground (RBMK and ZIRNOX have debris currently). So yeah for a disaster like scenario this mod is perfect ... especially if you use RBMK reactor cause it's meltdown is pretty accurate

6 uranium nuggets in crafting table will give you one billet 2 uranium ingots in crafting table will give you 3 billets Install NEI mod and it will give you all the recipes with the click of a button , it will make the whole modded experience alot easier and better

i have recreated your reactor block by block perfectly and it runs for like 10 seconds but explodes after that

There are 3 reasons for your reactor to explode Either the co2 pressure becomes too high Either the temperature of the reactor goes too high Either you're piping with the wrong steam pipe so there is a build up of steam in the reactor Co2 and temperature have an inverse relationship in this reactor , the more one is the less the other one should be ... Your goal is to keep both co2 and temperature within safe limits. That means vent out co2 if you see excess of it build up making the pressure gauge go up And double check the steam pipes that you've connected to the reactor

Depleting uranium fuel, that's one of the fastest ways of obtaining any of the plutonium variant while also marking some power during the process
