Baler Maintenance

The Massey Ferguson No. 3 Baler needs some maintenance.

Hi I would still check the knives in the chamber. I would think with the sticks that went through it last year they would not be to sharp. Still waiting for the tractor lol. Have a great day.

I talked with the dealer today and they said the tractor is in the loader is on its way and the only thing they’re waiting for is the third function valve so hopefully soon

You can use old tires off a 4 wheel drive pick up for your baler.

Clutch disc will seize up if not used often ! There are two fiber and 1 steel make sure all are separated or you might kiss it good by. Tighten the 8 bolts till they bottom out one per manual,

I don't have any first-hand information but I hear that nylon twine and nylon Bale wrap could become hard to find as the summer progresses

Yeah it look's like Hawkeye country , central Iowa and you got a time machine old house is up Being you got a lot of 100 yr old building why didn't you get a grant from state and fix them up or get This Old House out to make road trip to the Hawkeye country ,Just keep making videos

@@HumbleAcres Good morning Humble Acres .About grant money to fix up Humble Acres , You may have to jump through some hoops to get it . State or Federal requirements could be real stupid , only thing you can do is just try next posting

U might want to go throw and re sharpen the knives on your noater and the shear and also check out simple tiers

I checked the knives last year and they were fine I haven’t checked the shear and I probably should. Thanks for the advice!
