The taking of our lives - lives of a good shoemaker and a poor fish-peddler - all! That last moment belongs to us - that agony is our triumph." Bartolomeo Vanzetti

Two innocent men lost their lives because of their ethnicity and political beliefs. And they weren't shot by some mercenary in a shady operation in a third world country (not that's any less of inhumane). They were falsely accused, wrongly convicted, and their murders were sanctioned by the state. The US government laughed at their faces the whole time, and they were there to see them put to rest before their time came. A society, that deemed itself the best one, comitted murder, to make a point. Here's to you, Nicola and Bart.

A lot LOT better. Gay people can marry. Black people can vote. A black man can become President, and after we found out we didn't vote for him because he was black. We found out that American voters could care less about appearance or even characters to those who serve in office. We care in their actions. We came to this conclusion by electing a white man to the Presidency. If that isn't true and peaceful racial equality shown by (most of) the American populace, I don't know what is.

Let not the passing of Vanzetti and Sacco be forgotten. Nor the art of the late Ennio Morricone fade away. The American justice system is full of contradictions and capitalism-bureaucracy is to blame for it all. The anger is out there for all injustices, from Sacco and Vanzetti to Rodney King to George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Joseph Richardson...or the needless wars which plague this world, the starvation of many for the great waste of the few, the death of many is only an inconvenient statistic at least and a worrisome trend at most.

Many long one-shot scenes... for The Phantom Pain's cutscenes, Kojima probably took a lot of cinematic inspiration for this movie aside from the song and, apparently, the story.
@arsnakehert9 жыл бұрын
Alex Bloedow I commented this before The Phantom Pain was out (haven't played it yet so no spoilerinos please!), so I said it based on the trailers. Look at Ground Zeroes' intro for instance, the whole one-shot scene is very, uh, reminiscent of this one, I think (see how this is a one-shot too? Not to mention the song itself :P). I meant it in a cinematography sense, by the way, not story-wise or anything.
