Beautiful fields. Took over my family's farm last year. Old golden jubilee been sitting out there for 20yrs. Lol think I'll ever get her running again. All equipment just trapped in time from when our horse farm stopped existing. Love all you farm boys. Keeping America true!! I'm a rare breed for my area almost 40yr old female running a farm in the mtns alone.. pushing to make my farm self sustainable.. good luck with your tractor's.. 😉

Nothing like working in those old tractors? My ass that’s heaven compared to the tractor I ran as a kid ( Oliver 77 ) and now Oliver 1850 really sucks to be you ! I’m glad you have good equipment, makes the job go so much better

Keep the Hesston baler. You may need it just as a back up in case the Krone goes down. If you get more ground or do more custom baling it will come in handy.

88 bales/tons of hay from 50 acres, that's 1.76 tons per acre. Pretty good second cut in grass. The #6 string lollipop sticking up above the knotter assembly, indicates no string tension. Some problem with the knotter or just broken twine. The lowered hydraulic pressure on the cylinders that squeeze the baling chamber, is because now that he has increased the friction on the inside of the baling chamber and made the baling chamber longer in back, he can hold the bale back against the plungerhead with less squeeze pressure on the baling chamber walls. The baler is making flakes that are about 2 inches thick, and making a flake every plungerhead stroke, that is maximum efficiency and smooths out the shock loads on the tractor as well as the baler. Wes needs that 8120 with the loader to load and move bales, especially with 4x4 bales that weigh 1 ton each. These 4x4 bales may be too much for the bale stacker trailer, and this field he wants to load onto semitrailers right away, anyhow.

You need to keep it... good backup baler for when you F up the pickup... this baler likes dry stuff... perfect for strawbales

You'll have the minor kinks straightened out with the next weather repair window. A ton a bale is saving time, loads, twine and fuel. With all the upcoming baling contracts the Heston will be one hell of an asset to keep making money when the sun shines. I hope hay prices and prepaid customers justify a permanent huge poly covered storage hanger for winter rebaling, log sawing with board storage and equipment storage. WS Ag in Wisconsin type building. Screw the tarp work and expense. Hell of a job with the Heston and channel. The manure from a chicken operation with wood carbon to compost adds another revenue stream. Dump fees from sludge food waste and chickens free range would add value. Good luck with the weather for a change.

Hey Wes. Could you not ted the outside round further into the field? I know it would be thicker on the next inside round but would it dry better all over? It might work better on second cut as it’s lighter. Or I could be completely wrong. 😂 keep up the great work.

true you do not need to have a third baler. but having a back up the you your self have tweaked and you know works really good would be a nice thing.but as you say do you need it and or have the room to store it?

You know just watching this video I just realized you have never done a video on something you've talked about you hate doing a lot. And I don't blame you for hating to do it but I know you have had to do it at some time. And that is rebaling a bail that came apart. I don't think you've ever done a video on breaking a male down and showing why you actually hate doing it. Just a thought on another video. Anyway great video and one I have been waiting to see you for a long time. Love your Channel.
