I think dev team should add 5 additional famage to the piledrive and high speed ball form. Also the 0,4 damage to each shot buff would be nice, since it'll increase ball's dps only by 10, but it'll really help him without making him op.

i was thinking what would be really cool is if they allowed us to fire while retracted. how amazing would it be to be retracted to the ceiling or walls while firing down on people. and since we have the weakest guns in the game it can't be that game breaking.

The que for me was quick in a 4 stack, but for some reason we couldnt play the same roles as we could last season, and once it was three of us it was 20 minutes for a match but we could basically play whatever. Its probably because of a difference in rank and amount of different ranks

I'm hoping it's iteration #1 and iteration #2 will be better. Ball mains (I am one) are probably in the Henry Ford "If I asked my customers what they wanted, they'd say a faster horse" category. I'm glad the dev team is at least trying stuff. If they can understand what went wrong and improve with a second version, that's totally fine. IMO the shield change could be viable if they do a few things: 1. Always give shields to allies -- it shouldn't be a choice, they should get shields when you pop the CD 2. Make adaptive shields function like a mini sound barrier -- after ball pops shields, there should be a few seconds of leeway for a teammate to gain line-of-sight to get the shields 3. Come to a compromise on self shields vs. ally shields. At the moment you often have to give too much away. Ball gets destroyed by chain CC, so the handful of times I've actually used ally shields were niche things like during an enemy dragonblade where I wasn't at risk.

I Don't know about you guys but I love the rework, you can slightly shift your angle with the new grapple mechanic and the adaptive shield sharing is just awesome, real good for saving healers. And the fact that you can hide above people, pile drive and then still be able to grapple away is fucking amazing.

totally agree. I think the retract feature was a nice quality of life change same with the body block change and both of those will be semi-impactful especially if we get new techs using retract, but the only actual change ball really got was the shields change which is super situational and pretty much never useful.

i'd like to add a conspiracy theory thats been going around lately. Ever since that Blizzard boss everyone hated left and all of those esports employees were fired there has been a noticeable change in attitude from most OW YT'ers where they cheese Blizzard now like everything is so great. everything all of a sudden became the glass is half full propaganda since OW had been getting a lot of doom and gloom like it's going to die. it's obviously in their best interests to do what they can to change that narrative since OW YTer earnings depend on it. So these changes hit and most of the community is acting like we're so incredible now and then i watch these new patch gameplays where they're acting like ball is amazing when its the same exact gameplay we've seen before. theres nothing new or different that Yeetle, Chasm, or any other YT ball is doing despite their claims. then you look at what we got and nobody is doing anything with the new ability or even trying to but its so great right? And it really shouldn't take that long to figure out how to use it unless its some one trick pony oh thats neat move. you've got people calling him spiderball now when he can't even sling more than before without going superspeed. it doesnt add up. its just disingenuous. and judging by the upvotes the retract body block avoidance post got by ya'll where the community was acting like it was so amazing just made me facepalm. i swear everyone just cheeses Blizzard now ever since those events occurred in an artificial and disingenuous way. call me mad all u want but i'm just calling u all out on fanboying BS.

Well at least we got something. There are a view new locations you can hide for ambush, scout the enemy or disengage for heals. Yeah it does not fundamentally change ball, but you can get some nasty angles around the corners for boops etc.
