I am really fascinated with MDT. I plan on sticking with his concepts. I have been hitting a lot more straight shots when I do it his way.

wind is terrible for the mike.... Agreed...all clubs in the center of the stance. Manuel de la torre swing.... best swing in the history of golf.

@@815TeeTimeInc There is nothing in MDLT’s book about ball position. Is your approach to ball position directly from him or did you develop that yourself? Thanks, just subscribed, like your style.
@815TeeTimeInc4 жыл бұрын
@@samr1953 Thank you so much ... The ball position is obviously directly in front of the golf club. Manuel as well as those of us that teach this concept always advocated for the club to be positioned in the center of your stance. Basically as an extension of your spine. Thus, the golf ball would be directly in front of that .

How high do you tee the ball for the driver? Do you hover the club off the ground before the back swing so that the club face will have the optimum contact with the ball on forward swing? thanks
@815TeeTimeInc29 күн бұрын
Hi there, thank you so much for your comment and your question.… As a general rule of thumb, I put the T height to match the top of the golf ball.… So basically when you put the tea in the ground, it should be as tall as the golf ball. That’s just a general rule of thumb. No, I do not hover the club. I believe that creates tension in your forearms.
@bobgsearch28 күн бұрын
@@815TeeTimeInc first, let me thank you for your quick reply. I will try putting the tee in using the ball as a guide, then place the ball on the tee. My "advanced maturity" often gets in the way of my thinking ability...Last request, are you aware of any instructors in Chicago area teaching the Manuel philosophy? I am sorry that I live too far away from you to take advantage of your teachings. Best wishes for good health..

@bobgsearch hello there, again, thank you for your comment and your question. I wish I had known I was in Chicago last week. I would’ve helped you. Let me see if I can put some feelers out to find someone in your area. Where are you in the Chicago area?

if the ball's position is in the center then the club will not be hitting down on the ball when we are making a forward swing ?. Will that not make the ball sky up as it will hit the top of the driver face ? or do we decrease the size of the Tee so that the driver face strikes the ball in the center of the face ?
@815TeeTimeInc3 жыл бұрын
You are correct, the Ball is not going to be in the very centre, the club will. However, the golfball is literally centimetres away from the centre, so the height of the golf tee should not affect anything. Thank you so much for your comment and question

Would it make sense that the driver is centered at setup but that the ball is more forward (inside the left foot) to promote hitting up on the ball?
@815TeeTimeInc4 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't necessarily say hitting up on the ball.... But I would say, that since the head of the driver is bigger than an iron, the ball is slightly further forward than the rest of the clubs
@melaineryther31933 жыл бұрын
Hi Trish, do you recommend a tee height where half the ball is above the driver's crown, as in conventional golf advice?

Hi there, it's actually a personal preference. But yes, that is usually what I recommend to a new student

You said put the driver in the center .When i tried that i push the ball to the right.It seem to me that the club have not enough time to hit the ball square
@815TeeTimeInc4 жыл бұрын
It most certainly has enough time to return to square if you use your arms from the top of your swing to the Finish. Try swinging in slow motion for a little while.... This should help your timing and make sure your Club returns to square at impact. Please feel free to reach out if I can help in any way

I know the principle of the circle but but but ?With the iron-hybrid ect the method of Ernest Jones work but is not the same with the driver the ball is not very high.It seem to me that i hit the ball against the wind with a lost of distance. Can you explain that ? Thank You
@815TeeTimeInc4 жыл бұрын
Hi there, thank you so much for your question and your comment. You are correct common the ball will not fly as high when the club is in the center with the driver. The ball flies at the natural loft of the driver, when we played the driver forward in our stance the ball Flies higher than normal. So, you are correct.

That's all well, and good but what about the ball position, is it placed in the center?
@815TeeTimeInc4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment.... The club is placed in the center. Therefore, the ball is directly in front of the club
