Good info. Thank you. I had a plumber tell me that a ball valve had a flow direction, so I was looking for a way to determine that, since there are no markings on the valve. Ps: I like your phantom.

very good video. How can you identify a full port vs reduced on an already installed valve ? Is it just checking if it has 2 parts enough ? Are there any markings ?

The best way to be sure is to jot down the valves part number and look for a manufacturers specification sheet for your particular valve. Most valves will not have a marking denoting full or reduced port and not all two piece valves are full port. It would be safe to say that a one piece valve is more than likely a reduced port, but some two piece valves will have to have a narrower orifice to accommodate higher pressures or specific usage requirements.
